Pretty easy BnB that I’ve been using that does decent damage and has opportunities to build upon. Pretty sure you can get the dash xx hpxx double jump xx hp after the second volcano, but haven’t really tried it
I’m doing stinger xx volcano, j.hp dash j.hp doublejump j.hp xx hammer, otg volcano then I go to repeat the loop and they keep flipping out at the second j.hp dash j.hp. They flip out after the dash and during the startup of the second j.hp. if try to input the j.hp earlier it makes the dash not come out. Any tips for this? (Sorry if it’s confusing)
Edit: ignore this, I realized I was doing too many hits before the stringer. You can land 2 hits max prior to stinger any more and they flip out. At least it seems that way. I went from airdash j.hp, lp, hp xx stinger to just removing l.p. from the equation
You have to jump cancel the volcano into the motion for Crystal into revolver. The timing is tight but buffer the df motion and finish the last frame with a uf hp. You’re essentially tiger kneeing the crystal/revolver motions.
Something sneaky but obvious for Dantes that use reality stone.
During reality storm if you jump/teleport above someone and use rainstorm it’ll summon a cross-up lightning bolt since the rainstorm pushes you to the other side. Nice way to open someone up if they aren’t used to it.
A few things - most importantly, can we start getting notations for these Dante combos? The umvc3 Dante thread would have the notes followed by the video to see. I think that’d help a lot of people an its definitely help me.
And does Dante have a cross up normal that’s consistent? Forward lp works sometimes but it’s not consistent.
And finally, yo… All that talk about the game being more casual friendly was bs. Mvci Dante and his moves seem way harder and stricter to pull off than mvc3
If you do Box Dash HP with super jump and delay the HP slightly, it crosses up, however f.LP is the best overall.
And yea, a lot of Dante’s shit, while mechanically easier to execute than UMvC3’s Dante, ends up being harder because it’s almost all reaction based instead of just training mode grind.
Yeah I agree. After seeing how organized and notated the Captain Marvel combo thread is I’m a bit disappointed we don’t have this one somewhat similar. I wanna know the optimized BnB I should be practicing with notations. I feel like any BnB that’s into the 6k+ range is good enough for me
So far the best i’ve got is stinger into devil trigger, is at least + on block, even on pushblock it should be possible to go for s.HP > fly > thunderbolt > tag, it is not even close to a true blockstring but It’s a start.
The timing actually isn’t that tight if you know WHERE the timing is, that’s what’s most important. The best way to do it along with the TK motion is to wait a half a second. See that they’re airborne, THEN input the entire TK motion. Buffering it early pretty much ensures Beehive.
Basically FEEL the Volcano hit. You see and feel it, input the TK QCF+HP and you’re golden.
I’m almost positive that this isn’t a true blockstring, just some odd behavior of the CPU + proximity guard but it does bizarrely enough show as Dante still being in blockstun even through pushblocking.
c.LK, s.HP, Jet Stream, Crazy Dance is a true blockstring, but you lose a large amount of c.LK’s effective range and while c.LK into Jet Stream works it’s kinda eh. Can’t really hitconfirm properly outside corner.
