Everdred Teaches Remy

Is Remy the worst Guile clone ever ?

Why the hell can’t remy charge while doing his jab chains. Urien can, so wtf!!!

You can hold down then st jab, st jab, st short up and flash kick.

I thought you would have to charge between each hit, but you don’t. My friend who isn’t that great but is obssesed with partitioning told me you could. I told him he was on crack but I gave him a quarter and he proved me wrong…wow. I’ve seen it done on that Remy combo vid, but I thought it was because it was made on program pad and each hit was charged, but it isn’t so.

Dont you still have to be in neutral in order for it to chain? Anyway the way I do it is usually a quick buffer: cl.jab x cl.short x sonic or kara grab (the chain is to confuse people who try to red parry the sonic tick).

It would be much easier if you could just charge back and do it but I guess it’s some kind of glitch.

Yeah, I sorta meant you had to be in neutral when I said it had to be st. jab. And I also did mean cl. st. jab cl. st. jab cl. st. short.

It would be nice to hold back and do it…but then again, it’s Remy :frowning:

omg a tread dedicated to that 3s queer hahaha what a joke lol no one use this wannabe fake charlie wannabe rofl plz someone close this tread lmao

edit: hahahaaha

couldn’t you store a charge using downback? technically not moving you backwards and keeps you still in the same position? or am i just hoping too much?

Yes, you can charge down back before doing the jab jab short chain (which you must be neutral for). But we were referring to holding back WHILE doing the chain (which you cannot do).

Is it just me or you can only start machine gunning after 2 lovs on the Xbox version ?

Maybe it’s just you. Remy can start rapid fire with the second lov.

After trying some more you’re right. I think I wasn’t holding the second back of the first charge long enough.

What’s everyone’s position on parrying? Remy is the first character that I can actually use effectively at the arcade and I always seem to be whiffing chances in order to charge.

With this, I have little experience parrying anything with the occasional low parry because I tend to use RRFs due to extremely aggressive Kens and Uriens. So, should I play more aggressively for practice in parries?

I don’t see the advantage in this because I lose the charge and then have to rely on poking games which is fine, but I usually get in a few good pokes before I completely get pwned. Using Remy there’s just not a lot of room for mistakes considering about 3 combos from Ken is a loss.

I’m not exactly a pro, but I still parry occasionally with Remy, mainly if I’m fishing for a parry on a move with huge lag/an incoming move from the air so I can hit a nice clean crouching fierce.

yeah, what logos said. Remy doesn’t get much off punishing after most parries, so they aren’t as important for him. But still, the common shit, like parrying air attacks, projectiles (you can always do your charge moves right after the parry, ie, parry and throw an lov immediately), and putting in a down parry after a short kick cbk are useful (parry bait).

Remy is so fuckin fun to play…i play him pussy style! stay far send sonic booms built meter.

???

I play your mom Remy style. I fire off lots of LOVe.

Merry Christmas Remy Users!!!

Coming from you? lol k

Most of you probably know this already, but anyway…

I was testing the neutral throw in the corner a bit and I found out you can connect a SA2 against Dudley in the corner for a total of 40 damage. And about 35 if you mess the timing up. But it’s not that hard to get it down.

You just have to hold down :r: a bit before you press any kick for the super, so that you walk a little forward. I’m assuming this works against every character in the game but I will test more later. It’s not that useful but it’s good to know I guess…
