Do you cancel the parry into the jump, or du you just parry and then jump? also, do you press the HK on your way up?
You donāt have to jump up and parry. The recovery of the last hit is long enough for you to jump up and come down with rh after the parry (on the ground). You have to do the rh just a little early though.
Actually if you get good enough; after the neutral jump rh you can combo a close standing fierce into razorkick. You have to start charging right after you jump.
what do you do against Qās jumping HK? it beats your mp, and I think it beats your cr.hp to and heāll mostly do it on a distance so that if you parry it you wonāt be able to punish it well. I guess a flashkick would make it, but you donāt always have that charged

Here some vids. Watch them and study
For those of you that didnāt believe in aggresive Remy play styleā¦maybe you will now heh. Iāve shown my vids as well, but this has to top it. Parrying is a huge part of it, that most Remyās donāt seem to do, and although it seems hard, parrying and partitioning is possible, with great benefits.
I find whiffing anti air LoVs real fun.
your opponent jumps in at you and you time a LoV so that it will miss, your opponent goes ālol, wtf n00b, you missed me now I have youā so they do their best jump in move but you have so short recovery so you just parry the shit (if you timed the LoV correct of corse)
Mix ups with mp and alike is also fun
Your opponent sounds like a n00b for falling for that shit.
who is this?is this you?i find him great:wgrin: ā¦the only thing i didnt like is he wasted his talent on the low class playing urien and kenā¦its not worth wasting talent:sad: ā¦the urien and ken on the vids are garbageā¦it could have been great if the remy palyer whopped the ass of high class kens and uriensā¦
Yo quick question about Remy: Charge Partitioning
Iāve seen it in a lot of online match videos of Remy just chuckin LOVās at a very fast pace. Iāve already watched the Japanese Tutorial video explaining it like 7 times and still canāt figure out how itās done. Is it a Just Frame situation where you have to lauch each LOV at an EXACT frame or can you just hold back and keep throwing them. Also, could the problem be that you canāt throw two LOVās on screen at once? I canāt seem to do it without throwing an EX LOV, however Iāve seen multiple ones thrown in the tutorial videos.
Anybody with some (non sarcastic) advice would be great. Thanx

multiple LoVs are NOT charge partitioningā¦itās called charge bufferingā¦meaning to say you are kereping the charge unless you release itā¦to do this is to do a LoV then after you see the release frame/animation of the projectile you charge back again quickly and repeat the processā¦i suggest you check out the Anniversary Dvd Remy Videoā¦it explains and demonstrates how its done even its in Japaneseā¦
what i did to master charge partitioning was to teach myself to charge for 1 secondā¦the old school way of doing charge attack with guile,charlie/nash and remy was for 2 seconds right ?(you count 1,2).In doing charge partition, you charge only for 1 second, do a movement (lets say dash),hold again the charge for 1 second, then release with up or forward (depends on what special move you do).Bottom line is you seperate the charge needed to do the special move (either RRf or LoV) in between movesā¦
ok ok⦠2 hit combo on crouchersā¦
first hit of cl hk canceled to short cbk⦠nice 2 hit with a chunk of damage.
Do you even know what a-cho is These are all high level Japanese players. Meaning all of these guys would run everyone in this thread for free minus 1 or 2 people (and those 1 or 2 people would probably still get owned).
The Urien and Ken players arenāt garbageā¦they just simply got outplayed. Just like other top Japanese players outplay each other. When youāre both on that level sometimes someone just gets a really good run and is able to keep momentum. Remy is a difficult matchup for Urien because although Remy is not very good at taking hitsā¦Remy can make it almost impossible for Urien to get in and just chip him to death. If you watched any of the old KSK ranbats with Pierrot and Take you would have seen this as well. Urien doesnāt have much of an answer for good LOV spacing. Period.
Ken is the same deal except Ken has an easier time at least getting in than Urien. Itās just he got outplayed as well. The Remy player was having a good day and shit went his way. Yetā¦you have to remember that it is Remy and being a good Remy player takes a lot of work. Remy has to work a lot harder for the win than the majority of the cast.
do you know why i called d ken and urien garbage?..thatās because they didnt do well like they shouldā¦people here who uses ken and urien are way way way way much better than the ones in the vidā¦thats why i commented theyāre uselessā¦especially kenā¦he is an unbalanced characterā¦he doesnāt have bad match ups with anybody and he has almost all the good aspects/advantages in the gameā¦he, like chun li is a product of capcomās laziness and lack of research and developmentā¦you should know how to face the factsā¦
thatās the great thing in playing remyā¦aside from skills, you have to have a very good strategy-making skills to own an opponent to make up with remyās weaknesses (short stun bar, takes a lot of damage)ā¦if you win against good and i mean REALLY good players who uses top tier characters,it means youāre a much better player than themā¦think of it as a fun handicapped matchā¦imagine thisā¦you who uses a character that needs a great amount of skills, thinking and strategy just to make up with his his weaknesses winning against unbalanced caharacters which doesnt require the same amount of talent using remyā¦takes out the real amn in youā¦
thats what i do here in my placeā¦i get to beat players who are REALLY good in using top tier charactersā¦especially kens and chunsā¦
Ken is definitely not unbalnced. Heās just a real solid character. Both Chun and Yun have more stupid shit than he does and even they get beat all the time by lower tiered characters. The majority of the characters in the game can go toe to toe with Ken without being at a serious disadvantage. Itās only when you get to Chun and Yun do things start to get stupid (considering they are good Yun and Chun players and not scrub ones like the ones you probably go against).
The point Iām trying to make is that someoneās gotta win and someoneās gotta lose in every fight. If Remy got crushed in every fight would you then say that heās a bad Remy player? Seeā¦it doesnāt make any sense. Itās not like these guys havenāt proved themselves in front of tons of better players than you ever will. In Japan everyone gets to play against the best of every character all the time so itās expected for Remy to beat higher tiered characters when heās performing well. The fact that you assume random people in the US are better than the Japanese players you saw in the vids shows your lack of understanding of the competitive aspect of fighting games. Looking at one video and taking everything like the bible.
Besidesā¦where do you live? If youāre so nice with Remy why donāt you come out to NEC in Philly on Dec 2nd/3rd and show people wuz up with your Remy. Come out from āyour placeā and show J.Wong that Chun is a retarted character. Does āyour placeā have a name like the Bat Cave or something? Does Robin reside with you?
Judging how good a player is can only be done by showing them how consistant they are through tourneys. Itās not a matter of what character they pick or whether or not they decide to āhandicapā themselves. Beating people with Remy does not make you a man. He doesnāt even look like a man.
You won with this comment
Then you lost it. You donāt diss Remy like that:shake:
I hope I didnāt offend Remy. Then againā¦maybe he took it as a compliment.
Remyās a cool character though. No doubt.
Here are some more vids.

maybe you should āface the factsā that because characters have diffirent play styles, they arenāt as effective as eachother, and a completely balanced fighting game is nearly impossible. you canāt do development and testing for years until people have discovered everything you could possible do with every character. what difference does it make anyway? remy is how he is.
that said, you say they didnāt do well like they should? so do you make assumptions on how well someone plays based on what character they choose? anytime anyone wins, its because they outplayed their opponent, and if your character is higher tier, you are going to have an easier time outplaying them, but thats all there is to it. not a lot of people play remy seriously in the states, so 99% of the time the remy you see losing in an arcade is a dudley player sick of playing dudley for the night, and not someone who has studied remy as much as their opponent has.
Hi fellow Remy players!
Well ever since they took out Guilty Gear XX at our area,
I had to Stick to playing Marvel VS Capcom 2
But that game wasnt really all that appealing to me
Not too long ago they brought in 3rd Strike
Since Ive never really played the game before
I found my new toy!
So Ive been playing it like crazy! :lovin:
Anyways I really like the game
So far I think my skills and execution are just fine
I can comfortably do charge partitioning (or is it buffering? Sorry still new to the game and its terms)
Well the LoV ones atleast, and charge partitioning during attacks and such
But I havent quite gotten the LoV thing to Flash Kick yet
Dunno what Im doing wrong on that one
Anywaysā¦
I seem to need some help.
Theres some people in my arcade that can really really really parry well.
So my question is IF you know that the opponent will parry you when they jump towards you, and you know they wont mess up their parryingā¦
Is there anything I can do without getting hammered on if I try to attack with say⦠standing MP, or Crouching FP, or LoV, EX LoV, RRF, EX RRFā¦
He can parry every single one of these really well and I get punished if I try to hit him when hes jumping at me.
By the way my play style with Remy is agressive rushdown with an occasional turtling here and there (If playstyle matters much, to what I can do about that problem of mine)
You guys have any suggestion vs a jumping-parry-happy opponent? (and yes hes really good at it) I can still beat him but that involves me doing alot of tick throws into grabs.
But I would like to have more options and game plan available for me so I dont get predictable.
The super arts I use is Super Arts 2 (RRF super) and Super Arts 3
I use Super Arts 2 just for the EX meter, pretty much⦠I rarely use it for supers.
I dunno Just seems more fun to do small combos to EX moves and keep rushing while having a ton more EX to throw.
Super Arts 3 I use⦠Not for the super but for the mind game.
The opponent thinks Im going to use it so they become a little careful on their attacks, thus giving the initiative to me.
So yeah⦠My problem is against a really good parrying playerā¦
But the scenario I need help on is⦠What if theyre jumping towards you, and you know theyre going to parry everything you throw at them and punish youā¦
What are your/my options?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Yey go remy!! :lovin:
St.lp chain works well against people who parry anti airs. When they parry, chain into another st.lp(youāll be safe), or cr.fierice (while they are still in the air), or just block and grab when they land, or meaty mk, or cr.lk xx super. If they get hit by the jab, dash up and go for a 50/50 grab or meaty.
And donāt use saIII. You can get the same effect with random kara saI or random saII.
