i miss 3s
in the corner if they have their back to the wall you can hit with sa1, so even if you land far away you still land before them and they are still in the air long enough and high enough to land most of the hits for sa1. you can also rrf them if you have no meter.
me too
ok letâs try and breath life into this threadâŚ
gotta think of somethingâŚ
ok, ok letâs play off a move and determine all the possible options both players have throughout the duration of the first move accounting for specific character locations on the screen.
-Light of Virtue
(Situaton = 1)
- begining of the round at the start of the fight and it says âENGAGEâ (or âGOâ)
(Opponent, position= 2)
- ken is standing, he as out of the first sweep range, someone test if the second sweep hits from the start.
(moves avaiable =3) just give any notes on any moves you think the opponent could do from here.
- low lov makes them down parry if they stand
- high/low lov hits ken as he dashes in
- if they jump in, a lab lov lets you recover to dash again before they hit with a jump in
just give more options, or try to weigh which option is more favorable then another. the more weight it has then the more you can focus a pattern on it.
whatâs a lab lov? a lp lov?
i think he meant jab lov.
so if he jumps after a jab lov cant you just poke him out the air with mp?
a lot of times they expect a lov from the start (that or dash/walk back for charge) and jump towards you from the start to close the space. if you lov as soon as it says âGOâ then your stuck in recovery animation (whatever you call it) and they score a decent combo for free. from the start.
thats why i generally dont lov at the onset of a match. thats just me.
i like where youre going with this breathing new life business.
At the start of the round I usually do a single partition sonic boom. Start charging when the announcer says âinto the heat of battle,â then go to downback when he says âgo for it.â Jab sonic, and you can razor kick if they jump. Mix that up with cr.fierce if they are trying to parry the razorkick.
Thatâs cool Iâm going to copy this now.
phd i think you can dash forward after a light punch light of virtue at start when they jump forward. so you cross under them and hit standing fiece. this is something i want to try out next time i play.
so either hitting with far mp or dashing in for cross under you can do both from the start. thatâs a good mix up worth noting.
hey by ârazor kickâ do you mean CBK or flash kick/rrf?
Yea itâs the flashkick. âRazorkickâ flows more smoothly in a real conversation than âRRF,â so I guess I just got used to typing that all the time.
Remy gets hit by low optional parries a lot. This is mostly due to the fact that he doesnât deal too much damage from standing attacks (save for saII). You can take advantage of this fact with a kara saI linked from a standing mk (combos if they are ducking). Best used on optional down parry setups such as a ken blocked standing mk.
Guess whoâs backâŚ
eminem?
Call a friend
waitâŚwhen did you leave wtf?
WHOâS GOING TO EVO???
Iâm going.
You staying at the hotel hosting it?
Yea I booked my room last week.
wtf I thought you had to be 21 to book a room
Is it a good idea to try to get the cl.mp>h.LoV>cr.lk>RRF in after a close blocked CBK when opponent is in corner? I got this in once on the computer, but I havenât gotten the time to try it out on any humans yet.
Not reallyâŚmore than likely you will get attacked right off the bat, usually into a SA if the oppenent has one (unless they suck). And if the opponent has been blocking the whole time, then it probably wont do much, unless you happen to hit them with the cr. lk and theyâre not blocking downâŚso yea, I donât really recommend it. Stuff usually works on the computer that wont work on humans.
yeah, I played against some humans later that day and i wasnât a good idea. But I got it in from a jump in on a chun
Is it possible to sqeeze in a cr.hp after a parried anti-air jab?
yes. there was a video of TAKE doing it against a hugo
