good thing you share your stuff 'dread…all the answers i need are there…anyways,i have a suggestion when you get cornered…

when you get cornered, your opponent expects you to turtle…what i usually do is i do LK, MK(forward), UOH or kara throw…(you know the usual) what i do differently is that i do LK first(store charge) then a kara throw (store chrage again) then up + 2 kicks…voila,a surprise EX RRF… and it hits hard!!! just make sure your opponent IS IN THE RIGHT RANGE or else…otherwise its fun watching them eat the surprise damage…hope it helps…

kool kool. So you whiff the throw to bait them to come at you? that’s pretty cool. You can even confirm the up and 2 kicks!

Another way of getting out of the corner is the roundhouse cbk over them. Go over there head then land with good recovery because of distance and since they are right behind you do cr short into RRF. Japanese players do that all the time. I usually go for a throw tho.

Here’s a thing i do on wake up. Meaty roundhouse whiff then mp kara throw. The roundhouse whiff is good on short characters. The roundhouse get’s them cus it’s a good tick in mp kara throw since your within range for it.

You can connect a cr.lk after a cl.hk on Alex, Chun, Yun/Yang, Makoto, and Hugo. Best used against players who like to wake-up parry since the second hit of the cl.hk usually catches them so you can confirm a cr.lk X super. Against Hugo you can partition the cl.hk and connect the cr.lk into a RH razorkick for a 4 hit combo.

Damn the other half of American Remy is in hawaii, good shit! good shit. That cr short connecting after the cl rh will def get some practice time this week. I was so content with cl rh into lk rrf but the cl short makes it more hit confirmable since the cr short input adds a charge.

=/ I STILL can’t figure out throw into kara ex RRF (razorkick=P) damn my fugly hands!

Meatys: Although cl.mk is a great meaty, it doesn’t really leave much room for followups if it gets blocked or if you don’t have bar. Cl.mp xx cr.lk is a way better alternative to the cl.mk as you can do a decent amount of damage off of it without bar. The only downside is that it’s a bit harder to hit as a true meaty, but that can always be fixed with practice.

*after a knockdown
dash(partition db), meaty cl.mp x cr.lk xx razorkick. This setup works on everyone if they get hit standing (which happens most of the time). Most times you will have to dash twice and split the charge into shorter partitions. It will work on Urien, Dudley, Alex, Necro , makoto, Twelve, and Hugo while ducking. I should also point out that you have to use the lk razorkick version on Necro Makoto, and Twelve. Any other version won’t combo.

Once you get good enough, you can start confirming the cl.mp into a cr.mp (it combos) if they are crouching rendering all that character specific crap useless.

So remember :
cl.mp xx cr.lk xx razorkick if they are hit standing
cl.mp xx cr.mp xx razorkick if they are hit crouching

ok ok After browsing Gamefaqs FAQS for Remy they are pretty out-dated. Who wants to finally try to just put all the “bare bones” things together and make a FAQ for Remy?

I’m thinking of these sections so far

  1. ideas behind zoning

  2. super art usage

  3. kara throw importance

  4. poke strings (cold blue kick uses)

and finally what everyone seems to want the most…

  1. charge techniques (light of virtue and rising rage flash charges)

Nothing too advanced in this FAQ though the lessons on actually learning how to get good with Remy should still come from losing.

Nothing against you Broken Angel I even tried going back to an old post of mine and tried to edit it fixing all my grammar issues in it. But, when I went to submit the page I hit back by accident erasing whatever changes I did. Hopefully if we all pitch in we can finally throw a decent FAQ together to atleast give ideas on how to play a good start Remy.

Kara-supers are fun!!! You can punish an Alex ex elbow rush on block with a kara-saI. It’s also useful for followups after you hit them with a roundhouse cbk in the corner.

i’ve read this before…how is it done? i’ve heard its also possible to RRF even the small characters (the twins, ibuki, oro)…i thought only select characters can be RRFd after a neutral throw in the corner…

read the posts after that post, they explain how to do it in detail, hand setups, etc.
