I just have a hard time believing the price justifies the cost.

It’s ridiculous but what can you do? The main problem is that this machine caters mainly to the Japanese market. So Americans and everyone else have to import it. I think 13K is fine for Japan since that is the arcade capital of the world but for everyone else it’s expensive. No kid in America is gonna spend $1 a game and in America it’s kids who go to arcades (If there are some left).
Just wait for the DLC and maybe the price for the arcade board will go down.
