I’ve never had a proud moment in this game. I either land a cr.M, Fire grenade, j.S or I don’t. I either land an Air Dash j.H, Acid Rain cross up, Devil Trigger cross up, or I don’t. Honestly, if it felt like counters played a much bigger role in this game I’d have a sense of pride, but since everything happens so fast, you either pull off more bullshit or you don’t. Here’s to a surprisingly lack of mind games and predictability.
According to the salt that this game generates I probably dodged a bullet with this game.
Just had a proud moment today:
I had anchor Dante with 5% health left no red life and two meters and a bit less for three for coming off a happy birthday with him and Sentinel earlier, my opponent has his Doom at around 50% life and a Deadpool as anchor and a stocked X-factor. My opponent having the lead, decides to try chipping me out with Doom’s plasma beam and then cancels into Photon array which pretty much would have kill me if I didn’t pushblock. Dante is still alive with frame advantage (thanks to Photon array), my opponent didn’t realize this error, and with Dante, I had Stinger’d bold canceled into Reverb shock, which luckily had given me enough meter for his level 3 thus killing his Doom.
Next Deadpool with almost full life and X-factor comes in, I setup an Acid rain 50/50 mixup, it hits him in the air and with the combo (built a little less than a bar), I noticed that I had to form a reset in order to win the game, the reset that I had done with Dante. It was basically blah-blah mhs starter -> clay pigeon -> prop shredder, hammer, cold shower into lvl 2 stinger to delayed bold canceled multi-lock and then teleport for 50/50. As he was waking up, he mashed X-factor (I would think), which gave him a dash that ended up falling prey to cross up j.:h: + the multi-lock bolt with me landing the final combo ending the game.

I pulled off a sweet anchor OCV with Arthur once online. Finished it with a clutch ass combo. Definitely my proudest moment when people don’t take Arthur seriously.
- every time I get a throw then proceed to kill the opponent’s problem character with SoV XF jump loop, or a happy birthday on a dumb assist call OR punishing a fullscreen random beam super with 7 Rings into death.
- my first complete Hyper Grav loop (RIP Swagneto ;_; you will be missed)
- when I discovered the Strange glitch
- every time I kill Zero or Wesker
Finding a Tron combo that doesn’t suck (my definition of that, is, builds two bars, does 930k+, only uses 1 assist & works anywhere).
Of course not too long after, I saw that Zero combo that did 1mil off a cM solo…:bluu:

-finally pulling off Dante’s BC bnbs
-my reverse OCV with Ammy no XF even though I had only played her for a week or two (one of the reasons why I cant drop her)
-defeating Dark Phoenix bc some dumbass accidentally did a TK’d Phoenix Rage which made it completely pass over my Dante with only a magic pixel of life (that shit is like -35 on block) so I did Million Dollars and killed her
Ultimate:
-Beating GomuGomu in a lobby
-pulling off my double Acid Rain combo on OWA (made that combo just for his Nemesis;))
Even though I haven’t played Marvel 3 in a while, I don’t think I’ve had a “proud” moment with the game yet.
On the contrary, I actually feel ashamed of myself for even buying it.
I work in the deep Alaskan bush during the summers, so no xbox for me for at least 4 months. But, before I headed out this year I played MvC3 pretty much constant through the spring. I knew who Viscant was only by the leaderboards, but I beat him 2-3 in Ranked and I felt so good about myself. Came back and I’m still scrub, but I’ll remember that. It his was team too.
I also main Thor and I know what the other players face looks like when landing air mighty hurricanes all day. MMMM

- Everytime I landed a full Rocket Punch TAC combo
- Anytime I beat Bionic arm with anything
- Air throwing ammy
- Every time I’ve made someone salty about Spiderman and/or Skrull resets
Finally had a proud moment with Nova today. Was playing a (if I recall correctly) higher ranked guy that was running Wesker, Vergil, Strider, against my Wesker, Spencer, Nova. The guy manages to tear up my first two characters running a perfect so far with his Wesker and Vergil, using vajra assist. Nova comes in, manages to block the incoming Wesker/Strider assist mixup, and then manages to catch Wesker, flight combo, ground slam, x-factor, and then I proceed to pull off Nova’s infinite for the first time, and I swear it took about ten ground-bouncing iterations of M Centurian arts before Wesker finally died, with no dropping of the infinite. Considering the only other time I’d even tried the infinite was once or twice in training room, where I didn’t get it, thought it was too hard, and said fuck it for now, I was pretty surprised I didn’t drop it. I knew I really needed it if I was going to stand a chance though, and decided to go for it fortunately. Then Strider comes in and I get him with a shield, javelin, superjump forward airdash straight down H mixup, kill him in one x-factored relaunch into Nova force. Vergil comes in, and after a bit of dancing around and trading glancing hits, I think I ended it with an air throw into launch, air series, L centurian arts, nova force to complete the comeback. Killing Wesker with that long infinite is definitely what swung the match and provided some shock momentum. I’d been leaning towards playing Spencer more as the anchor, but Nova just made a big argument.

Beating Jills Mission 10 in vanilla. I stopped playing the game for like 3 days after because I just wanted to hold that.
Did a touch of death combo on a doctor doom with chun li online. Honestly any time I can pull off a touch of death (and im talking full 1-1.2m damage not some 7-800) online I feel damn proud.
I also love that moment when you just KNOW a teleport is coming and you punish it with a killing combo.
OCVing with lvl 1 Frank as my last character, and winning my first online match in my 2nd played game.

Hit a Spider Man Webthrow setup on Phoenix’s activation to Dark Phoenix. Tried to keep the straightest face I could upon landing it on my friend like nothing happened lol.
Hitting someone with Ace Attorney in multiplayer. I was so happy I thought I was gonna get a heart attack!
