This is truly the PEOPLE TOURNAMENT! Best tournament i’ve been to in my life. Not just saying that because I ran it, but because it’s true shawty. Soo many hype things happend I can’t name them all. Meeting new peeps and seeing old peeps was fun. Final Round has become my family reunion for my gamer family.

LARRY/SHINBLANKA…For the best tournament of the year. I really think FR has the potential to be THE National of the year. In the future, I’d like to see EVO as the late-summer, West Coast National and FR on equal standing as the early-spring, East Coast National.

Much thanks to the entire Final Round staff!! This was my first big tourney in many years and I had a blast. It feels great to get back into the “scene”. Special thanks to Jason Wilson (Dream Theater) for getting my ST Ryu back into shape so I could even compete. I know finishing 5th is nothing to write home about but I couldn’t be happier. I’ll definitely be back next year for more fun. :woot:

FYI, it was a modified MAS with all blue buttons ( Start and Select buttons included) with a matching blue joystick, with a black front. There was the typical MAS diagram and button layout on the front. Anyone see this stick, holla at me. If you know who took it, or had seen it afterwards, PM me.

FRXI was my first tourney, and I had a blast. Met a ton of cool new people to play against, got my ass whooped a bunch, and got to’up a whole bunch. I was the kid in the double dare hat rocking E.Honda over at ST most of the time.

ShinBlanka - Great job keeping everything running smoothly, I was really impressed with how quick everything ran once it got started

JDash - Thanks for having us over to your place Saturday night (I came with Zach and Mixup)

Mixup - You’re a fucking beast at Marvel and you had my ass rolling the entire weekend. Dashup pad Hugo 360s for the win. We gotta get down on that vampire for sure

Saturday Night 3S in DevilJin’s room, It was great playing all you guys, it was a real fun night.

Shekeib: I was angry after losing to you right before the top 8, especially losing when it goes down to the end makes it worse, lol. Made it easier on me after you getting 2nd. And when you told me you spent 2 months playing with tokido I guess you had some good practice against Urien, lol. Sucks that we couldn’t play casuals on the big screen after they yelled at us for it, I wanted some revenge, lol.

Oh man, I knew I heard about you on SRK. Best Ryu I’ve ever played. I was the Claw player that came pretty close to beating you casuals. Holy fuck dude, you can link anything with Ryu. It was amazing playing you. Good fucking stuff.

You have no idea how much I enjoy playing new people in ST. Sucks that we won’t be able to play until next year, unless you’re going to Midwest Championships in June.
