The GGAC, Tekken, and CvS2 big screen matches were the hypest.
GGAC people just got fucked up left and right and the crowd was too hype with the Axl player wrecking everything.
CvS2 Buktooth’s N-Iori was :mad::mad:. Nigga took out whole teams by himself nearly.
Tekken was the best. Any match between an ATL player and anyone who wasn’t ATL was mad hype. And everytime something happened you’d hear a “NOPE” or if someone got slammed, you’d hear a “YOOOOOUUUUU”.
This nigga during the Tekken finals said " OOOOHHH YESSSS" during a rodeo throw, and then right after he said it the throw got broken.
One more moment that happened during the tournament. Jal’s P-Sagat hitting Sabin’s Blanka from BEHIND with crouching fierce. Nigga got hit with that musk from the armpit.
To those who don’t know me, I was the one with the white Aeropostle hat on all weekend. I was EVERYWHERE.
You know what struck me at this FR?
The old timers are making decent money now. Everyone brought their PS3 and flat panel to the hotel, and instead of “steel reserve” or “MD20” from the days of FR4, the empty bottles now say “patron” and shit

The entire GG tournament: Hottest shit ever. Too much hype, and the overall level of play was the highest out of all of the games played IMO.
Arcana players: Thanks for the barrage of complements directed towards me and my ghetto ass Kira. Also, thanks to Arturo for beating the holy hell out of said Kira.:shake:
MB players: Never has a tourney run in the back corner of a ballroom been so hype. Thanks for making my addiction to this game that much stronger.

Geese, i think its way way wwwaaaaay more than safe to say that hotel after hours side events DO NOT WORK.
no one showed up for garou or xi and we were telling everyone about it all day.
best bet is to work it into the event as official next year if the interest is there. Larry and CO got four great snk games into the roster, and two ran finals on big screen. most will be on the dvd. this is a huge step for not only snk, but all other obscure or unapreciated fighting games (sc3, melty, and arcana too).
Final Round is THE fighting game community. EVO is the street fighter community. You get me? (this is a generalization/exageration, i know evo isnt just SF… just making a point.)
gs to everyone i played, FRXI was hella fun. after hearing about steve i kind of wish I could’ve stayed for the rest of the tourney, also jeron i want you in A2!!!:arazz::mad:
