I am chuffed that people have been waiting my friend, but I must say sorry guys I dont think I will be bothering with this p2p anymore lol.
In one way or another the connection was pretty damn awful against nearly everyone I try to play against both inside and out of London, its starts off good then goes really laggy and the screen goes jerky too, but also I should point out that I played vs The Prince on it and he lives in London, we tried several different kaillera clients and emu’s and we found that when using the mame emu, its laggy from the start, when using the mame kaillera client on FBA emu, it always starts really well, then slowley it starts lagging after a few games and with the kaillera client that FBA comes with, the connection is awesome at first then it suddenly completely desyncs.
Against Ramza126 his ping was like 126ms or something ridiculous even though he only lives in ireland… very wierd.
Its a shame really because I thought this would be as good as GGPO, because GGPO is really good for alpha 3, maybe they will get 3s on GGPO one day…
Ramzas bro is on/off on the net[that wanker making me lose my chance to play you ;)], i can get 32ms ping on p2p with anyone in europe [close to ireland at least].
Although last time i played Harmonaz it did get a bit laggy so, im not too sure, maybe cause some of us only get to play online, after all those laggy XBL/Kaillera days, p2p just seems god given, whereas for offline players its still lagtastic.
Saying that those americans seem to be loving it…
I think you have hit the nail on the head right there. But (this isnt topic related) theres super versus battle 2008 coming up, would be nice if some of the online europeans here could make it to that, there will be many machines available for casuals.
well, I came accross a canadian player the other day and , eventhough the game was fluid, there was input delay as if we were using mame… no way I could play, I’m not used to that amount of delay anymore.

For me Streetfighter was only something I have ever played on a console and the only multiplayer I ever played was with my friends. From back when I was a kid on the auld Sega Mega Drive playing what I think was championship edition, and barley being able to chuck a fireball with the mega drive pad.
To when I was about 16 and gave streetfighter alpha 3 a bash on the ps1 and instantly fell in love. This time I could pull off all the specials as easy as it was to just throw a kick. Man I thought I was great (ignorance is bliss I guess, or is it?) Again, the only MP I ever had was with the few mates who I managed to convince to play me, but I only ever got one friend really interested in the game.
Then I moved onto PC gaming and never looked back at consoles. The only console gaming I ever did was dust off the auld ps1 from time to time for a game of SA3 with my one friend who loved it just as much as me. Oh how I wish there was a way to play it online.
It was only 4 months ago that I even found out about mame and playing online etc. I was like OMFG. As you probably can imagine. However I never did play alpha 3 online, because I then discovered 3rd strike and have been utterly blown away by this, what 9 year old game?
Anyway I’m jumped right into the fire and began playing MP online right away and had the revelation that I had never really played streetfighter, till then. I had no idea how deep the game was.
I’ve been having such a blast these past few months online. I’m in that UK server almost everyday.
atm I’m trying to convince my friends who enjoy SF3 aswell to try and play online but I think they are two afraid they’ll get pwned. Which they will at 1st but MP is the only way to play StreetFighter. SP is just a filler, imo.
Anyway I’ve yet to try the p2p aspect of this yet, but I’ll give it a lash soon enough.

Just played Ramza126. First time playing someone from across the ocean. It was tolerable delay. I’ll probably only use Urien though cuz I can’t confirm at all at 120 ping or so. So, I’d like to play some other people from Europe, hit me up on AIM if you want. NFBA only, I might require you to download hamachi too if we play.
I never seem to be able to talk to you on MSN. You’re always online, but never reply to any of my messages, even when you’re not “Away” or “busy” etc. :wonder:
