Hi Laugh,

Any ETA on getting TaeYoung Fanta’s in?

It doesn’t come with it’s own mounting plate?

What Outkast said is correct, what you’ll have to purchase is a mounting plate. Once you buy that, you screw it onto the joystick and then it’ll line up with your Madcatz SE mounting bracket.

http://www.gamingnow.net/joysticks/sanwa-joysticks/jlf-p1

You need the right size nuts to fit into the JLF to get the SE’s mounting plate to work.

You are supposed to use nuts with those screws.
Use the stock nuts that are inside the Joystick being replaced.

Of course it does not.
poodootdoot bought JLF-TP-8Y-SK, not JLF-TP-8YT-SK.

The [T] means comes with Sanwa JLF-P-1 installed.

Buying a Mounting Plate won’t do any good if nuts are not used.
Don’t need to buy a Mounting Plate anyways, just use stock Mad Catz one.

And Outkast did not say anything.

Yes, d3v is correct.
And you guys should listen to that.

Hmm…
I might have to add some pictures. The stock mounting plate’s holes, line up to holes on the Sanwa stick but the hole is not threaded and too large for the stock screws.
There are spots to put nuts, but I’d have to drill the stock SE plate to get them to line up.

I think this is mostly my mistake for not buying the 8Y and not 8YT. Nub move. Doh!

I might have to get that mounting plate with nuts from Gamingnow.

Where’s Laugh? I want to know when he will ship my order. Anybody know if something happened to him? :frowning:

laugh generally is not on during the weekends, he will come this week. not to worry

Why buy a whole mounting plate when you can save money and just get the needed nuts (either buy them, or fish out the ones in the MC stick).

Step 1: Remove MadCatz mounting plate from stock stick.
Step 2: Either fish out the nuts from the MadCatz stick OR buy a set of four (4) similar sized nuts.
Step 3: Place the nuts in the hexagonal holes on the stick (use some Loctite or glue if you want to secure them in place).
Step 4: Screw in the mounting plate.
Step 5: …
Step 6: Profit!

So, im currently underway building my first stick (will probably give it to a friend). I’ll probably be ordering a paewong pcb to go into it… im curious about 2 things… i realize some soldering might be involved, and from the looks of the pcb, its light enough soldiering that i shouldn’t have major issues with it. If i order one, is it possible for me to get the wires that come with it, the ones that plug into the joystick? since they have their own little harness with it, i figured it would be that much easier to use.

also, i remember you saying something about making wire harnesses for the buttons, is that still happening? if so cool, but if not, again it doesn’t look like the most difficult thing to soldier.

Thanks for the help everyone. I “fished” the nuts out of the old stick and stuck them into my new Sanwa. I didn’t realize that I needed to do that.

It is now installed and works perfectly!

Have a quick question…I have a paewang pcb coming from you for one of my custom sticks. I only have three buttons on the rear of the case for start, select, turbo, and guide. Is my best bet to drill another hole (rather not) or just omit select possibly? I dont recall how often I use select/back or w/e.

I just thought the turbo was used for switching consoles… I’ll just combine the two, that sounds like a good idea. Thanks :]

I’m interested in knowing this too.

hii laugh, i just want to inform u that my order have just arrived tody, i’m so happy, can’t wait to start my project. thnx laugh, hope can place another orders

Either laugh’s suggestion, or you can wire it so that you have to press both Start and Select to get the turbo to work.

Hey laugh, I’ve just been on your website. Everything looks great.
The only thing is that with the bestsellers, the disconnects have a huge advantage in that you have to buy lots.
Maybe you could count once for each type of item in an order, regardless of the quantity.
Alternatively, divide the count by 16 or however many you need to buy.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but it just jumped out at me.

First! Just kidding.

Anyway, how big of a demand do you think you will need? I would be willing to order a small number of them.

Thanks Ryan. I got my stick yesterday, everything works great so far. I was deciding should I go with the revolution or the chimp board. I decided to ordered from you because you’re a fellow Cvs2 player.

I ordered the inpin converter last tuesday, i used the ems shipping it got here on saturday. Very fast process. The converter works very well. Thanks laugh.
