I got a bit confused… I meant the JLF BLACK-COATED extension. I mod my LS-32’s with JLF-CD shafts to prevent shaft corrosion. The thickness of an LS-32 shaft with the modded JLF-CD shaft is roughly the same as a covered JLF shaft. The shaft cover itself is about half the thickness of what it is pre-mod. I haven’t had a single shaft cover crack on me, either, so they should be solid as long as they’re cut down enough so that there’s no excess plastic shaft above the top of the LS-32 threads. That’s the only situation where I could see the JLF-CD crack on me. That would be the end-user’s (me!) problem, not yours.
I think we talked about this before on another thread. The extension should be compatible with the LS-32 – the Seimitsu’s and JLF’s use the same threading style–, slight difference in thickness or not. Imagine the same goes for the LS-40. People also mod those colored shafts to use on JLF’s. I have two “crazy” Hori HRAP’s that I want to install Seimitsu joysticks in. They have the non-universal JLF-only mounts that complicate things a bit. The extensions should raise the LS-32/-40 shaft lengths enough for comfortable game play.
If I can recommission those stick bases with the Seimitsus in them, I’ll hardly notice the thickness issue with the extension if it’s there. I don’t play with bat handles…
How much would you want for an empty Paewang case. I managed to uhhh… melt a bit of mine. (Learning to solder is fun!) Is there anyway you could put it on the store so I could purchase it in addition to some buttons?
I’m sure he’s got a ton he’d be happy to get rid of. i asked him about it over a year ago and he told me $4-ish per case for several of them, so I wouldn’t expect more than $6-8 for a single. Shipping would be the bulk of your cost.
I love the shop, and thanks for the 360 converters. They’re perfect for my arcade stand.
I have run into a snag with one of the Joytron boards. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot a shorted-out Joytron PCB, and I could use a little guidance if possible. Every time we plug in the controller, it will cycle through menus and bug out. I took a look at it, and my friend’s dual-mod PCB has a connection that is shorted to ground. It seems to be shorted in the board. I’ve used an ohmmeter and tested all the solder points, and the R2/RT trace is shorted with ground. All the other connections seem to be stable/not shorted, and none of them are shorted with each other. The only problem is with R2/RT being shorted, but there doesn’t seem to be anything shorting any of the pins visibly on the board or chips. Any way the chip got shorted out somehow? Is there any other place to connect R2/RT on the board? Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Btw, this board has been in a controller for a while, and it worked great until a couple of weeks ago.
Again, yeah, all the work is on my end but I’m pretty sure those extensions would work out… Thank the Japanese for at least standardizing the threads on the stick shafts! It’s hard enough keeping all the hardware parts and configurations straight!
My order of Crown CWB203C buttons just came in yesterday. I have to ask though, how much are these buttons supposed to vary in feel? Some of the buttons have slight clicky feel to them, most are slightly less stiff than Seimitsu buttons with one slightly more stiff, and one is actually more sensitive than Sanwa.
I don’t have a problem with this, I just have to wonder what kind of quality control does Crown go through and how many different factories Crown has making buttons for them to vary so much.
I’ll also have to order your new PS2->360 converters when you have them available, and good luck at ReveLAtions and NCR.
eTokki is such a great shop for everyone outside Korea! Without you, it would be impossible for us to get our hands on Fanta sticks (for reasonable prices!). Thank you for your great job! Can’t wait for my order to arrive - especially the Taeyoung Fanta!
dammn laugh , you come alway with another great case
what you think when your done with your case
becouse i have a tournement in juli and my stick is broke
sorry for bad gramma, like you see i´m from good old germany ^^
NIce choice going with the VSHG design. Is that the final case design or still some tweaks to be made? Would be awesome if there was a flush top panel/face plate or even better a non plexi top panel.
I made an Order on the pcb PS3/360 on or around the date of.
06/03/11
I was curious to know if it will be processed and shipped before you leave? Wondering if it would be here before the 24th of this month. (have a small tournament to go to)
I’m about to order one of your new Xtokki adapters but I have to know if I can add an empty Joytron Paewang case to the order and whether or not the order will be proccessed and shipped before you leave for LA
