To my knowledge, if he was looking for something like a square restrictor plate, Crown CWL305’s are the only K-sticks that come with a square actuator… Or am I talking out of my ass? lol.
-Edit-
It wouldn’t really matter if I was right, because it turns out that they’re not in stock anyways… My bad.
Taeyoung fanta + stuff came in the other day. Shit is mad gummy. I forgot how damn tough these things were.
I might have to just spin it on the side while I use a different stick like Djfrijoles.
How long does it take you guys to break these things in? I’ve broken in a couple Myungshin fantas and a Crown but I’ve been using K-sticks for almost 2 years now so I haven’t really been keeping track.
Probably a dumb question but the inpin DOES work with the PS1 namco right? My custom stick uses the Namco PS1 PCB and I just wanted to double check before I sold my PS3 stick.
laugh - I have an associate who is travelling to South Korea this week and I wanted to know if you had a walk in shop he can purchase parts from? Or is it web orders only?
so how good are those fanta sticks, for a long time I used HAPP competition sticks, just recently started to use JLF’s, but I still like HAPP’s better, so my question is do they feel like happ’s or like sanwa’s? or do they feel different from those 2?
They are just what you are looking for then. I always describe them as “the in between of those two worlds”. I been rockin Taeyoung Fantas for 3 years now. I’m on like my 4th or 5th order from laugh. Can’t wait to get mah new shit!!
Pro tip for Fantas:
you can buy the micro switches seperatly when the ones in your stick wear out.
thanks man, I definitely will give them a try, for some reason I can’t get used to the JLF’S, I had been thinking about the seimitsu’s but they are probably the same, 1 more question does the bat top comes off?
I’d give the LS-56 + MS plate (if you want to mount it to a JLF mount) a try first if you have a stick suited for Japanese parts. The Fanta and LS-56 pretty much use the same type of switches, I don’t know how different they feel though. But if you already have a custom stick or a stick that can fit a stick as big as the Happ/iL competition or Korean Stick then by all means go for it.
No way dude, Seimitsu are totally different than Sanwa JLF’s. I usually play on a LS-40 and today had to play on a JLF. The JLF was loose as who knows what, little to no resistance and a totally different feel. I had a hard time playing on one, it really is that different from a Seimitsu.
Anyway, I just want to say I recently did business with Laugh and he was very professional. I’d definitely recommend him if you need parts. Another +1 for Laugh!
speaking of switches. this may not be for everyone but if you dont like the stocked switches on the stick and you’re used to happ/il sticks, i suggest you replace them with cherry switches. Thats what i did and it feels way much better to me at least.
also, im sick of waiting trying to break into this stick. Ive tried pounding the rubber with a hammer to try and tenderize it. It worked for a little while, then it became hard again. Now im hearing you gotta make cuts into…what kind of cuts exactly? like random cuts or do they have to be in a certain pattern?, how deep?, etc
That must be a Taeyoung yer talkin’ about. I would say cut it evenly perhaps a cross formation or maybe diagonally on the corners. Either way I’d think you’d want it to be even and symmetrical to prevent any unevenness.
I’ll be ordering a few things off you soon for my associate to collect. Want to get some of those Korean sticks as well but have no idea what to go for - any suggestions?
