Laugh, got a question for you.
My friend may be wanting a Myoungshin Fanta, but a different colored top, as the Myoungshin only comes in Green and Black. I’m guessing the Crown shafts and the Fanta shafts are interchangeable, correct? If so, how much extra would you charge for a special order of a Myoungshin stick with the shaft switched out for a Crown shaft?

@ Missing Person - Vinyl dye didn’t work to well for me when i tried to make my taeyoung red, maybe you’ll have better luck than me though.
Well, I’m not sure I’ll be doing the paintjob myself. If I do, I think the way to go is to use white dye first to lighten the color of the battop, then dying it a different color.
But I’m doing the stick for a friend, and am trying to do it as cheap, but quality, as possible for him, as he is kinda strapped for cash as a broke college student, so I think he’s not going to want to dye the stick, especially if it involves buying two colors.

One question: on the wire on my PCB, one of the ground wires appears to be stripped where the five individual wires meets the grey insulated wire. Is that normal?
Laugh/Ryan, what are the odds that you could come up with a Saulabi SPS-3000 Arcade Stick (or other Korean PS2 stick) and if so how much would that run? PM if needed.
What happened exatly? Was it the roughness/dullness of the top that made it un-dye-able? Do you think it’d work better on a myungshin/sanwa/glossier stick? Or would it be even worse then?
I got a few extra shafts and I’m not entirely unwilling to try this.
Hey - dunno if this is the right place to ask, tell me if otherwise.
I recently bought a pair of Crown CWB203C buttons (among other stuff), but they seem to be two different buttons. One feels distinctly softer to push, while the other has an almost clicky quality to it. The PCBs on the buttons are also different colors - one is blue and one is green. The green pcb also seems to have been modified by hand (a trace is cut)? Is this normal, or was I accidentally sent a used button or something?
I’m about to dye my joystick with some Scarlet Red Vinyl Dye. I’m trying to match my red Sanwa buttons and joystick, but I’m not too hopeful of a match. It was either scarlet red, or maroon and I think that the scarlet will be slightly closer. I’m a bit concerned that on one of the swatches it looks considerably pink. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Is one actually blue, or is the film just still on the bottom?
Let’s just say it looked like vomit lol. I don’t think it’s impossible by any means, i just wasn’t able to get it to work right.
Definitely a blue PCB. I wired up the buttons today, and they both work fine, so whatever, I guess? I kinda like that slight clicky feel that’s not present in the one, though…
