eTokki.com - The Shop for the Players by the Players

Really?? Damn, I hope they can refill the stock soon!

How much is shipping to Australia for the Paewang Revolution? Could I get a comparison with the single PCB as well? These prices will be in USD right?
I’ve grown great interest for this product.

You can get the Salubi and just swap out the parts with a taeyoung, myoungshin, or any of the crown sticks, they all mount the same. Switching the buttons out for crown buttons would be fairly easy. You could put Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons in it but you would need to make the holes slightly bigger I think.

Yeah the saulabi is also a good choice, but after reading laugh’s tutorial thread, I don’t know if i will be able to switch the buttons, it looked quite difficult for me :frowning:

Hey Laugh, figured you would know:

If I mod a Saulabi with Crown 203C’s, do I absolutely need the spacers for the buttons, or is that only if I use the nuts?

This site is great! I have been looking for a site like this ever since I played on Korean sticks a few months back. I recently saw one of those wooden sticks [A tekken player from Korea (his name is Knee) was using that same stick!!]. I wanted it so baddd!! I wonder if he modded it with Taeyoung? It was a great stick that’s all I know! I plan on getting that same stick soon. Gotta wait a week or so since I don’t have money for the shipping right now. Is there a major difference from the stock stick and the Taeyoung Fanta stick? I’m a big Tekken player and I only want the best (even though I don’t use Mishimas). haha. Also, how are the stock buttons on it? Are crown the more popular/common ones?

If the stock stick is the same as Saulabi, it’s pretty bad. It’s basically a knockoff Myoungshin Fanta. The Taeyoung is supposed to be much stiffer than the Myoungshin’s.

The wooden sticks, according to Laugh, are made by Saulabi also (or at least according to the etokki website), so I would imagine all the parts are of similar quality, and the stock buttons on the Saulabi are crap (cheap feeling, easy to break). Replace the stock stick with a Myoungshin or a Taeyoung or a Crown, and get some Crown buttons in it.

Made a purchase today, place seemed to have the best deals on most items and the shipping is more than reasonable. Thanks yo.

Hey Laugh,
I have receive my order. Thanks man. Came to me pretty damn fast!

If it’s tekken you’re playing you’d be better off with a Myungshin. I’ve bought several K-Sticks and that one’s the most suitable for the fast, constant movement of tekken. TaeYung is better suited for like 2d games (ST, CVS2, SF4 maybe). Knee’s stick probably had a Myungshin.

Stocks buttons (as Missing person said) are kinda crappy. Crown buttons are the only Korean buttons you’ll ever need.

Thanks a lot for the info, guys. I am definately modding it, then. Also, I read somewhere that the wooden stick in specific is easy to mod. Has quick disconnects and requires no soldering. Is this true? I have never modded a stick before

If that’s the case, I wish I had gotten the wooden stick over the Saulabi when I was in Korea. The place I bought it at had both.

i have just put another order. this time i will try to build using paewang PCB, could u show me how to wiring this PCB, since i buy the PCB only, i have to figure out where to solder the buttons&stick on the PCB

That’s not true. The wooden stick requires the same type of modding that the saulabi does. The insides are the exact same. At best it’s easier to open as it only requires that you pry it open with a flathead screwdriver or something.

You must solder, desolder and bend the pins on the crown 203A buttons (if you plan on using the original pcb).

I see, thanks. I saw the tutorial for that somewhere here on SRK. May have to pay that thread a visit again. I’m gonna need to learn how to solder/desolder now. haha.
The stick that I order should fit just fine, right?

As long as the stick you’re getting is korean style, it’s as simple as unscrewing the old one and putting in the new one.

Right, however, on the Saulabi, apparently the Crown sticks scrape the weights inside the case, so if you grab that combo, you need to think of alternate ways to weigh down the stick.

where is laugh, it seems he is busy lately, i sent an email and he hasn’t reply it yet

Got my orders for 6 OBSF-30 Blue. Thank you.
