Ethics in game journalism

Come on guys, I know you can discuss this without profanity and the like.

The plain and simple truth is that the ethics will be divided into a humane discussion and a civil one. The civil one will lean towards what the people that whine the most want and the humane one will be ignored or be unapproachable because women can just sleep with people to get away with things. That’s the plain simple truth.

All I have to say then is “Give us a kiss?”

Can anyone just start grabbing old relevant links for now just in case? I would but mobile at work is too unstable.

Good luck with that one buddy!

Anyway this appears to be some kind of “2.0” of the gamergate thread, which since it’s conception as a topic before the thread was created here, I have thought to be one of the most aggravatingly unproductive points of discussion on the internet in quite a long time.

Try to keep Ass Crimson in the little containment thread your building for him this time. If you keep him busy here he doesnt wander elsewhere.

I have tabs of all 173 available pages open right now. Not exactly sure what to do with them.

@Valaris You can close this lazy troll thread.

EG if you’re not trolling you’ve been here long enough to use the search function: Why does game journalism suck?: Angry Joe FTW!

Pretty sure that…

  1. He wasn’t trolling.

  2. Nobody remembers that thread fa6634

You really need to get off that high horse man. The thin air is making you dumb.

There’s both the gamersgate thread which I haven’t kept up with at all but recall tataki just saying a lot of dumb shit, and the journalism thread I linked, so how is it dumb to tell someone to use the search function? especially when it sounds like a troll thread considering we all know what the dealio is when it comes to ethics…

This thread was made because there was a problem loading the last page of the #gg thread, you’d know this if you followed the thread, but it’s just so much easier for you to make assumptions that someones ripping off a thread you made that no one fucking cares about, hence why it’s been dead for 5 months.

Ok, so to try and clarify things, what should we do?

The GG thread is getting long and unwieldy, and the fact that we’re getting unresponsive pages isn’t a good sign. On the other hand orochizoolander’s thread is rather dead and appears to be on a more specific topic (who is wainwright and why is she related? The links in the OP are dead, etc.). On the other, other hand, while there’s significant overlap gamergate and games journalism are not 1:1 equivalent topics. Personally I’d like to see a (seperate, to avoid having all this discussion on the front page) thread for games journalism specifically and let the gamergate thread handle whatever else, but idk how feasible that is or if others would use the thread.

So,is there any way to revive that one page?

Google Cache would have been my first choice, but it just has the first post by BB Hoody that contains an unrelated YouTube video. No idea where else to look - archive.* doesn’t have anything and bing’s cache is useless.

True I did assume this thread was the same as mine, but with the thread titles it’s pretty easy to get them confused lol.

I just posted in the GG thread, it works for me.

Agreed, I made that thread to keep the feminism shit away from the topic of games journalism, but the two are so entangled, I do think a new or seperate thread would be a good idea.

I will post where i like, please stop crying!
