Look dude I’ll give some cred, there was some decent Akuma rushdown, some decent Bison pressure and the odd well-used FADC. The demonflip palm whiff was well played.
The FB->FADC->EX.Tatsu, while you were comfortably in a block string, was ridiculous lol. There were moments my head was screaming “Raging Demon that shit he’s in the air” or “for the love of god don’t SRK”. It wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t great.
You seemed pretty hyped for a match where your friend was just ‘practicing links’ to be honest.
You also shouldn’t be throwing out shit like ‘this forum things they’re amazing and have their head up their own asses’ because you posted a video, over-hyped it, and not everyone agreed with it. Yea there’s some critical dicks on this forum but SF is a critical game, literally down to pixels and frames of a game. It’s only natural that the fuckups are gonna get dissed, especially when they’re that blatant.
Let’s face it, you hit up a forum that watches videos of Momochi, Tokido, Sanford and Andre all day. You had to know your vid was going to get criticized.
Yes some people like to crit, even though when you’re playing its totaly different to watching. The thing is, EVERYTIME these kind of fourms are full of big headed guys who think they are amazing, tek9 for cod4 was exactly the same.
Sure i shouldn’t of gave it epic in the title so im sorry for that (didn’t know what such a big thing), lol it was a close match and I liked it. Also don’t humor me…I win this akuma 10-0 so it wasn’t a SPECIAL match for me, it was close and a good watch thats why I liked it, me winning 3 rounds in a row in 15-20 sec each round isn’t exactly nice to watch is it?

Yes being in a match is different than watching the video, but you literally invited people to watch the video and judge it. Really, you said ‘you be the judge’ and a bunch of players called it like they see it, good or bad. If getting negative criticism over a video gets under your skin, and you defensively deflect that into “criticism means those players think they’re top shit”, then why post at all?

It’s general consensus that your video was not epic, rather, it was a mediocre display with dropped links, missed combo opportunities, and generally faulty play. You called it “epic”, then proceeded to argue against our criticisms by stating the match was just “warming up”. If you had something better to show us, why didn’t you?
Secondly - We’re the Akuma forum. Why are you trying to post your fail Bison here?
Conclusion - 3/10 for the video. 5/10 for the defense you give defending it. 0/10 for the placement of the video. Get out. <3.

tru… are you able to delete the thread? I don’t know how thread deletion works and I’m not about to call a mod to get it deleted cuz that would be rediculous… but obviously nothing useful has gone into anything past the original post and whomever the first person to say “post it the video section.” Trust me when I say it will make you feel better in the end at not having to see the ppl responding repeatedly to say basically the same thing again and again and then you won’t feel obligated to defend your posting of the video.
but also… try not to come back with “its not like any of you post vids” because… most if not all the ppl that have responded to you have vids up somewhere or another. But because you are a bison posting in the akuma forum who doesn’t even secondary akuma… you wouldn’t know that because I assume you don’t look through the akuma vid threads.
You should be happy though. Bison got buffed pretty damn nicely in Super so your bison will get a nice little boost right off the bat just from that fact. Have a good week and enjoy the new game. Maybe you can pick up akuma or ibuki as a secondary and realize that most of the ppl here try to be pretty helpful to ppl who post humble to the point posts in the correct section. Everybody gets a fuck-up… and posting this as its own thread was yours. Just take the lump, say “sorry… but FUCK you guys.” and try not to hype up your own stuff as its bound to get dirtied. People like to kick ppl off high horses… its basically what people are taught their entire lives. Ever play the game 4 square? The whole point is to fuck up the top dude and take his spot. Chairs in an orchestera? you want the first chair of the first violins… to do that you have to be better. And if someone isn’t “better” then you are going to let ppl know. Just understand it… don’t have to like it… but do understand it and move on.
And next time if you want to pump up a vid… be a little more sly about it and ppl won’t jump on it as much. Maybe say something like “Close finish. Sweet combo @ _:__”. It will get your point across without sounding bloviated and/or pompous. I mean… if you’ve posted on other forums before for games or sports or anything… you must know by now that people will jump simply at incorrect termonology… and maul you for exaggerating skill.
1 more thing. Its probably not the best way to call someone out to say “yo, you guys probably suck and if I had a way to play any of you I would” because …well it just doesn’t look very convincing. And for some reason I though your match was you playing online? I don’t remember. Anyway, sorry if you felt mistreated… i doubt anybody here is really a dick including you. Its just ppl take their frustration out online… I guess its therapeutic.
If there’s someone you should pay attention to when he’s talking about “Akuma”, it’s probably Bokkin… Not that he’s the best here, but he’s up there. You can add LoyalSol, LordOfUltima, Gamogo and even (God forbid) WestAB to this list of people who can show you a thing or two about Akuma.
Just because something is labeled an opinion, doesn’t automatically make it false. Otherwise, this thread woulnd’t exist. It was your (overinflated) opinion that your match against your friend’s Akuma was epic. It was the (overwhelming) opinion of everyone (or nearly) on the Akuma forums that your match against your friend’s Akuma was anything but… Not saying you suck as a Bison or your buddy sucks as Akuma, nor is anyone going to go as far as saying that it wasn’t a “close match”.
I’ve posted my Akuma videos, but I was always as humble as possible (at least I hope so). Even when I thought I did really good and dominated my opponent, the guys here were really critical of my play. But not because they want to rag on me. On the contrary, they’re trying to help me. Because of them, I’ve changed how I play the character for the better. Oh, I’m still not really good enough, but I’m not playing at all like you’d see in my posted vids right now.
I think what GATOR said is the best course to take: Learn from this and move on. And above all, don’t take it personally. We really do mean well on the Akuma boards.

Damn you know this whole time I have had him on my list, but I still got to play LordOU. I have played every other Akuma on this board except for him. We are just on at the wrong times.
