Epic fight akuma vs bison must watch

^mettle cMK drops your hit box and hits their recovery if done right…I usually follow up with ex tatsu or ex fb because it’s only 1 meter and you get either space or a knockdown…and throws can be teched…so this is a better strat…

you need to walk back a bit and then cr.mk right? when i focus and they stomp/hands followup, theres some recovery (right?) there so throws have worked for me. I don’t play many bisons, so I’m unclear about how to punish.

c.MK is a subtlety good anti-air. While SRKs and c.HP are preferred forms because of their priority and damage, c.MK can cleanly beat some moves that have a huge tendency to trade. Sagat’s elbow drop for instance can be beaten cleanly this way. The timing and spacing takes some practice though and can be different depending on the move you are countering.

Its very VERY easy to crit some1 without playing them, I adapt to how the player is playing, I never play the same twice, if you ask people I play, Maybe the skill level is higher on xbox live maybe not, but you cant judge a guy from a match you didnt play…

It wasn’t a rage quit, it was a “fuck losing to a guy trying to cheap a win”, you dont have a pc so you don’t know this trick, people who want to win points put settings on ultra high so the game plays 2x-3x slower (like you are underwater) thats what he did…

Wish I could play someone here, but most are xbox and ps3 players, I only have pc if you have pc add me;

GFWLT: TrU3Ta1ent

I think it is actually like V-sync or something actually that makes it slow down. You or your opponent had it set to like variable. You need to make it fixed.

Yeah, that’s a rage quit.

that match was horrible… why the hell is there an entire thread dedicated to a bison getting manhandled by a BAD akuma…and then winning cuz the akuma was dumb? Bad as in… BAD.

You don’t throw peak height fb at charge characters when trying to get the last hit of damage… It was fine to try once or twice for a srk to score on a wake-up or something, but he didn’t need to as I’m sure he could have tick thrown the shit out of the bison… or demon flip thrown at the very least. The akuma was throwing away… THROWING AWAY meter and had ABSOLUTELY no pokes. All he did was go JAB JAB JAB jump (NEVER punished with a headstomp for doing this time after time…) jab jab jab jump jab jab tick throw or waste meter. I mean at the VERY least he could have thrown in a demon flip to get at the VERY least so chip damage…or maybe he could have tried to use the “vortex”? He NEVER tried to do a cross-up tatsu… which is basically free chip/1 bar less meter or better against bison unless he has ultra. He dropped simple combos… and not the parts where you drop them because of online lag (like the srk after the tatsu) but at the tatsu?

In short and to stay nice the akuma had no clue about the match-up or just simply wasn’t very good (probably a mix) and the bison showed northing other than that bison has more health than akuma and can afford to sit and get one simple combo with an FADC mix-up to win the match if the akuma doesn’t know what a low block is…

as to the rage quitting stuff. Honestly I don’t find any harm in it as long as you quit before the end of the first round. Or if you have a lead/tied. Sometimes if the lag is really bad I’ll actually try and win a round so that I can quit…lol. But for some reason ppl will sometimes even get angry and call you a pussy etc. even if you are up 2-0 and you quit. Its kinda sad. Honestly its justa game… so I find no problem with leaving a match. Its jsut when they do taht whole thing where they are literally about to lose the match and then they quit… it would have taken 10 more seconds to finish the match and leave the room but instead the idiot takes 3-5 minutes to get back to the start screen just so a record isn’t tarnished? that is sad. What is being talked about here is “who the fuck cares” worthy… not that ALL rage-quit arguments aren’t anyway.

again… why is this a thread?

edit:

Oh… and as to somethign actually useful for an akuma topic… c.mk and c.lk even work really well at fucking up cross-tatsu… it really is an amazing evade move. Who needs a “duck” like dudley when you have c.mk that can be used to avoid everything from fireballs to jump-ins to specials.

Because this Bison player clearly got lost.

Gator, it takes around 20 seconds on PC-SF4 to Alt+F4, restart and be back in the lobby. Faster than 1/4 of the round, so if it’s laggy, then not a big deal to quit. RQ is something else though.

I know, stupid comment, but in a stupid thread, right? Nonetheless, he should just have posted it in the videothread to avoid some of the hating. It’s really easy to hate on ppl, apparently.

If you know how to read into a thread title, you will have gotten exactly what you expected from watching this video.

Oh I knew before I said anything what kind of video this would be. The fact is that those who actually have amazing matches don’t have to tout their own videos.

That’s the definition of a Rage-quit… Do you think any of us like to lose to lagging bullshit? If it was that laggy and it bothered you that much, then just throw the fight. It’s not like he was going to take away 2000 of your GP or something. At worse, you’d have lost 5 GP (G1 rank). At best, you’d have made some GP points if it was anything past a 2nd match. Do you want to see how many matches I’ve lost online to laggy bullshit? And I never rage-quit…

Not that that somehow discredits your play in that video. I just found it odd that you’d tout about “epic” gameplay against someone clearly less skilled than you when I knew your tag from the RQ site… It seemed a little too much like gloating for my taste and, apparently, the same holds true for others in the Akuma boards.

I’m pretty sure most ppl were in the same boat as me and just wanted to watch because they were bored (hand raised) and fully expected a bad match or mediocre at best (well…a repeat from the video thread at best I guess…). Decent matches are posted in the blogs, good match are mixed between the blog and video thread, and usually the video thread is good Japanese player matches and tournaments. The fact that it was posted as its own thread either meant it was a d sucking of someone like momochi or it was …well…what it was.

But its easy to get bored if waiting for a new game to come out when you come to the site for a few minutes while waiting for shit to boil or whatever ppl do while visiting forums.

and yea… totally loyalsol. If you had a good match and its up somewhere then someone else will at some point see it… you can always help the ball rolling by posting it the first time though…lol… just not in the manner of the OP as i feel he MUST know that barely beating a bad akuma with a typical punish in a match filled with mess-ups and bad choices hardly constitutes “epic.” Epic is the ending of the famous daigo EVO moment. Epic is watching the Red Sox come back from 3 games down to the yanks. Epic is seeing micheal jordan sink the game winner against Utah (even if he did shove off…offensive foul…but what ref in their right mind would call that right then and basically end the game on a whistle with a turnover?).

The internet has ruined words from overuse like Epic, good, awesome, etc. Now they just mean you did basic things when you were suppose to like cross from your left to your right and the opponent tripped because he wasn’t shuffling or breaking merely 1 tackle for a 15 yard touchdown run or punishing a stupid move with a simple move that you were sitting and charging for 5 seconds anyway. I mean… next time I’m playing an akuma online I’ll make sure to take a vid with a phone of me sweeping their horribly high air fireball (because they don’t know what a tiger fb is or have no clue how to space) :annoy:

END OF RANT… lol

Come on folks, let the guy enjoy his moment. I am sure we’ve all had similar experiences like this of one sort or another. Being sarcastic and flaming is not bein

Now rage quitting is entirely a different matter altogether … lmao . How I detest such childish ness. g modesy t imho.

So if you all seem upset that this thread got attention, why do you keep bumping posts to give it attention?

i don’t think ppl actually get upset on forums… just bored. I can’t speak for everyone, but do I care some guy posted a vid of him playing some guy online? no of course not. More power to the OP. It would be nice if he posted it in the actual video section or not in the akuma section at all since the akuma wasn’t good by any means… but its honestly water under the bridge and hardly important. Sure it wastes an infinitesimal amount of bandwith probably to be a new thread instead of a quick comment in an existing thread but if mods don’t mind then nobody should. I think the thread got more attention about rage quitting than anything…lol.

ohh… and ppl are up in arms about the flagrant misuse of the word “Epic” … copyright Epic Games…

well now that you guys are in this thread you might as well see a REALLY EPIC match. Maybe some of you have already seen it, but hey, for those who don’t…

^^ epicness starts at 2:28

here it’s with crowd reactions

btw, that akuma in the OP video was terribly bad, never seen so much wasted meter. The bison player wasn’t anything special too

Just because I used the word “epic” I got so much hate, was warmup games vs this guy of my friends list, he is a good player, its player match so he was obviosly practising links…sigh.

Also to all those people saying I rage quit I wasnt raged, I quit because it was in slow mortion, I wanted to stick it out, but the abel was horrible…and im not letting people get points by cheating, so I quit. Not raged at all, I blocked the guy so I didnt play him again and let him use his cheap way to make fake points on other people.

The game is ok this akuma is ok, sure I should’nt of said epic ill remember that for the future, it was a nice match so I posted it, im new to posting on youtube and just wanted some feedback…

When you whiff the 90% of hit confirms, u can’t call it “epic”, because you and your opponent made lots of mistakes.

Epic fight is this:

I didn’t wiff 90% I missed like 2-3 combos or somthing and at the end the lk,lk to scissors I missed because of pressure it was very end of game.
