It’s actually better to do s. HP xx HP Psycho Crusher after a FA instead of HK Scissor Kick, it’s same damage but slightly more stun.

And worse positioning. The extra stun is not really worth it unless you’re cornered.

But yeah I was quite perplexed as to why every FA crumple ended with c. LP x3, c. LK xx Scissors. I would kinda expect that someone with 744 hours of playtime would go for something more effective…

Well let’s see, it took me about 30~35 hours of playing to get to G1, that’s 15K BP. I don’t know how much of that 744 hours is strictly Championship mode but I’m going to guess atleast half.

I was not impressed with the Bison play at all because at that many hours of playing, you shouldn’t be making those kinds of mistakes. I’m guessing you lost ALOT of matches on the way.

That bieng said, your posting in a forum specifically known to talk strategy. It doesnt matter who posts it, if you post a video of yourself playing, expect some criticism.

Daigo himself could be like “Look at this video where I crushed a series of one thousand people in a row.” and there would be no less then four people telling him how unnecessary a piece of his combo is.

So yeah, getting to SG is pretty much playing non-stop and being halfway decent is what i gathered from the experience. It was just fun seeing myself improve as i played more and more. I kinda regret it because i played 4-5 hours 5 or 6 days out of the week for a month straight, it was almost a compulsion.

Went 103 for 118 in my last 30 championship runs though, that was badass.

This is video evidence that you need free time, and ONLY free time to get to SG.

The last 3 minutes of the video, instead of a picture of bison with cheesy music, should have been you opening an SG room and waiting 30 minutes for players that don’t come at 10x speed.

I think his point was that… “The people in SG are wicked SF4 players” is not true by default: they got there because they won or lost a lot of matches consecutively over a very long period of time.

Anyone who plays long enough will make it there, which isn’t true of competing in offline tournaments to any degree of success. I’ve been playing fighting games for quite a good portion of my life, it’s entirely casual and I’m not very good at them, I wouldn’t be remotely so pompous as to assume that because I have like ~8 years experience playing fighting games that I could walk in and win Evo. Unlike online where time invested = rank.

Part of the reason one would assume you’re fishing for compliments is reinforced by your own post, the feigned modesty while throwing out your achievement like a gold star. It’s like people in a class who, on a day that tests are returned, are the first person to start asking “How’d you do?” because in the back of their mind, they desperately want to tell you they aced it. They’re asking you so that you naturally ask in return and they can feel good over it.

You’re basically saying, “I’m not here fishing for compliments” followed immediately by, “People who get to SG (me and few others) are incredibly good SF4 players.”

Plus your entire response is sopping wet with arrogance which doesn’t help.

You also threw out that you wanted people to subscribe and comment on (if not the fight) you making SG. So here’s people commenting on you getting SG, “Good for you?” <-- Telling people to subscribe to you and claiming that you’ll be releasing fight footage implies that you’d want people to watch you fighting. Shock horror that some people think you’re terrible. Not every comment is a positive one, especially when the person asking for them is kind of a prick.
