You only lose 5 points for losing the first game. You get 10 for winning 1 game, 20 + extra for 2, 50 + extra for 3, and 100 + extra for 4, 150 + extra if you win the whole thing.
Odds of even a terrible person losing points is very very low.
Edit: I should point out that getting to G1 just takes time, so by the time the bad players get to G1 the other bad players are there as well, significantly decreasing their chances to lose points.

Yeah, when I wrote that I didn’t mean go exercise… but you absolutely should do that anyway, jwong be damned. I wrote “get off the couch” because you have to LEAVE YOUR HOUSE to play in a tournament. Though maybe the tourney organizers will have a couch there for you if you really need it.
The crux of my post was simply that to get respect, you must earn it in tourneys. No one respects someone who only wins online.

Yes because I said I was good? I don’t talk like I’m a really good player, I talk like I can see the difference between good players and mediocre players. You don’t have to be good at a game to be able to judge talent. Do I need to be a NBA player to know that LeBron and Kobe are really good and some scrub from the YMCA sucks? He’s got a youtube vid of him making it to SG with average play and another vid showing you how to “cheat” in an online video game. Somehow, a few people are still giving him props for his dedication. Too funny.
Nobody has pointed out the real factor onto why this is bullshit. G1 for europe consists of about 40-50 people and the ones with good connections are even less. I know it from experience that in G1 you play the same 20 odd people all the time , i dnt think I’ve ever played one person in G1 only ONCE. So now that hese in SG , who is he gonna play? The same scrubs hese been playing since G1. And thats all hese ever going to play! He’s not going to get better or get experience by playing the same online lag players everyday, and It’s certainly not going to help him win any tournaments. SG= fail.
