goddamn foo I am diggin that corner combo. didn’t get quite up to a mil damage though…what strength stare are you doing each time?
I use L stare for every combo, against shorties like frank/firebrand midscreen I sometimes use M stare as the L isn’t fast enough to reach if the combo is not performed perfectly, and then walk forward ever so slightly before the :s:
It should do a million with the second super, although generally you will do more if you dhc into a mashable or stronger super. Keep in mind the bombs will go off after the dhc, they cause soft knockdown, but I can see them possibly breaking someone out of a combo.

can someone please notate Shumas most practical solo midscreen combo, along with how much damage it does. I would really appreciate it. Im trying to learn him, and im liking him so far, but i dont have a go to bnb yet. thanks yall <3
I’ve been practicing this combo quite a lot. I can do it pretty well, except for the part with M.Mystic Smash. It just doesn’t connect no matter how fast I do it. Is there some kind of a trick or timing to it or is it even possible? It’s easy to do it with full hitstun, but after a few loops it seems impossible. That’s the only thing stopping me from being able to do this. 
Personally I wouldn’t do that combo…waste of meter. Just do his 1 meter bnb > dhc to whatever. It’ll net probably the same amount of damage, build more meter, and waste less. Save your level 3 for either a reset into it for inescapable damage or just use it on someone coming in for a free 440k. Just my 2 cents

Listen, I’ll be honest, I’m not really a huge Mahvelhead. I’m primarily a Mortal Kombat player, but of course i play most of the other fighting games out at the moment too. Mainly (here’s the part where i get blown up) SFxT (my ears are burning already lol), Tekken 6 and AE. I like Marvel but I’m finding it a really hard game to pick up. It’s just so bloody hectic! To be honest i even struggle with the bnbs…which leads me to the point of this post…
By this point I’ve gathered that Shuma isnt exactly the easiest character to use, but he’s the only one I actually want to learn cos he’s blatantly the coolest character on the roster. He’s going on my team no matter what.
What would be the easiest and most consistent combo to spend all my time learning? I don’t care about flash or absolute max damage, i just need somethingto get me started. I’ve tried out one or 2 of the ones posted in this thread, but as i say, I’m finding them a bit difficult and i just need to know where to start really.
Also,i know it’s not really the right thread for this, but which characters should i think about sing with him? I hear Doom works well with everyone so I’m gonna give him a crack, but I have no idea about the 3rd. Would Ghost Rider work? (I hope so, purely cos he’s the 2nd coolest character on the roster)
Plop I’ve been practicing the combos that Foo posted. They’re pretty good. The corner combo is hard; I cut it short but can still get 800k so it’s good to learn a variation of it at least.
I think we should try and work on combo’s that end in a reset while they’re Mystic Stare’d so that Mystic Stare can be a tight unblockable that can be combo’d from.
If you finish the midscreen combo I posted without the msmash, you have enough time to dash under (and dash back if needed) while the eyes explode in the air giving shuma 50/50 midscreen resets. If they tech forward airdash back and msmash under them, its very ambiguous. If you can corner carry there is no reason to reset as you can TOD.
