Well firstly, you need a charge for it to work. That’s the biggest change.
Pretty much it makes it less user-friendly, and now Bison won’t be able to approach and use it at the same time. You also can’t spam buffer it, you have to buffer it slower which means people can possibly throw another fireball between buffering because you lose your charge for a moment. You can neutral jump and charge at the same time so that can be helpful between parking your ass/ staring and avoiding fireballs.
The trade is it now does more damage when it hits, and it’s pretty noticeable too. On other hand cooldown on block is longer so you will be open to more punishment if you screw it up. However you can still use it to escape bad situations because you still recover quickly if it’s not blocked. So all in all it’s still an useful ultra with good utility. It just takes a bit more care and effort to use to it’s fullest now.
I now have difficulty landing it after j.MPx2. With U1, you can hit pretty low and it’ll connect. But for U2, if I delay the second j.MP a bit to be sure I have a charge, the opponent might fall too low for it to hit. Bummer

they raped him. Capcom showed absolutely no respect to a former final boss. I can understand a lot of the nerfs they gave him, but the ultra motion change is unfuckingforgivable.
WAAAAAAAAY too many ultra options were lost, as well as the simple fact that they made an anti fireball ultra (think of Abels) with ZERO combo setups, into a baitable piece of shit not worthy of Lord Bisons glory

but afro, it’s fine. It just takes a lil more effort to use. I played Chun Li and used her ultra 1 just fine- but Bison’s is even better because it is a **full screen **punish. Don’t give up on it so quickly! We’re all just a lil spoiled and need to get use to it. Same with sk change- you can still do the trap, just not as much and you need to learn the different spacing. Bison is still doing really well, give yourself sometime to adapt. I was playing SSF4 like it was going to be arcade edition so it isn’t hitting me as hard…
oh I can adapt to the other changes, I agree with them actually (well, I ain’t 100% on board the sHK nerf, but the rest are fine). But the change to ultra I hated from the start, and thought I could handle it, then I played AE, and it’s just not the same anymore. Imagine having a penis, then WHAM. They snatch it away from you
If anything, I felt he’s buffed.
I like the charge and damage buff for U2.
Loop is still there
S.HK now deals 138 on Counter Hit…and it hits quite often for that damage

I picked up Bison the other day (first time since super came out) I’m liking him for rushdowns. I got sick of all the yuns, chuns, and makotos running away all the time when I played honda. His damage nerf isn’t that bad considering everyone pretty much got a damage nerf
I just play it 3rd day on AE, I think he is buffed compare to everyone nerf in the game.
1st, the push away for scissor kick, is awesome+god like move now, it make 1 purpose and it is make jump in to bison harder, and you have more time to react what to do with jump in, the distance control is easier I suppose, and it is easier AFTER you chip with scissor.
2nd, the kick is not actual nerf, it still deal good damage but as chance being reversed by DP? the risk and reward is on bison side, just whiff few s.hk can make you punish incoming DP, why not whiff more??
as long as they stay away from his s.fierce punch and c.fierce I think we should be perfect…and UC2 is just make game lamer, since I don’t even bother using it because it is almost impossible to combo after any j.mp xx…the 30 damage buff is not even worth it, I rather use U1.
if you can do Dashing Ultra, FADC Ultra, Anti-OS kara Ultra (pink Ultra 1) then UC1 is even more fierce then ever, the invincible frame is very long, and even on wake up you can punish ANYTHING foolishly trying to chip you out with ANYTHING!
