ElvenShadow's Frosty Faustings GGXXAC, Arcana, 3S, SFIIHD, 1/3/09 CHICAGO, IL!

Not at all but it’s the first place the people who replied to the post would see.

Well played good sir. At the Faustings then?

Sure.

Murphagator, yes please bring any setups you can if its not any trouble! thank you

not sure about a wellsfargo… sorry

yes the hotel in the first post is the venue hotel so all information should be there

No trouble at all, just be aware that I won’t be bringing matching TVs.

I just picked up a ps2 to ps2 controller adapter. I guess I’ll bring that, my EX2s for 360 and… yeah, I think that’s it.

doesnt matter if the TVs match. a TV is a TV

Also I hope everyone that brings a console can bring both RF and AV if they happen to have both, just to make sure we can use all those old RF only TVs as well

Also if anyone has a megaphone or a micrphone/cheap amp that would be huge help cuz announcing shit by screaming at the top of your lungs is never fun

By not bringing matching TVs, I meant a TV matching each system, not the two TVs matching eachother.

Hey I heard CvS2’s also in the list, but I don’t see it on the first post… Is CvS2 going down too?

As a side tourney I’m pretty sure it is, it’s not an official one though which might be why it’s not on the first post.

Yeah, I think Frankie and Arturo are running it as a side thing, with enough support. First post is only mains.

And pardon my stupid, but what’s the difference between RF and AV cables? I just wanna make sure I have both. (for 360)

RF is also called coaxial. It’s a thicker cable that screws onto whatever it goes to. AV is also called composite which are three thinner cables. Yellow is video, red and white are audio.

Oooooh, gotcha. Thanks Grog…and yeah, I don’t have RF. I take it just about any electronics store could have it, like Fry’s, Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc.?

Such a thing exists, but good luck finding it anywhere for the 360. BestBuy doesn’t have it listed, and gamestops online store is listed as sold out.

I really wouldn’t worry about getting coax for an xbox 360, I don’t even know how awful that quality would look

I have a question. I would really like to go to this tournament, mostly for TvC, but I also want to play STHD, but I haven’t even touched the game. Would anyone be willing to lend their X360 stick just for STHD tournament matches? I’m on a tight budget right now, so I won’t have enough money to buy a X360 stick till after the tournament. CvS2 being in the tournament (even as a side tournament) makes me want to go to this even more now.

I’ll be going on Greyhound, but it seems they’ve increase the price from here to Chicago from $35 to $90 round trip, which is bad for me… I still want to make this.

Does Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Nebraska 3rd Strike players plan on showing to this? I want to entice someone from Minnesota to come to Chicago to see his skill level against a region… he’s REALLY good.

If I can get 1-2 360 sticks by then, they will be permanently set-up with my 360 that I’m bringing, if that helps anyone.

And Grog/Murph, thanks for the heads up. Guess I won’t worry too much about it then

For the record:

The main difference between coax, AV and Composite is picture/sound quality. AV and Composite are NOT the same thing and I don’t think that RF even exists on the 360. That would make me cry, actually.

LOL yea when I was asking people to bring extra RF cables if they have them, I mainly meant for PS2 or DC. 360 RF would just be rediculous lol

I sure one of us well gladly let you use out 360 sticks.

There will be a lot of good 3s players just from IL at this tourny.

Havent heard from Missouri, IN I think is coming, Nebraska just kinda shows up sometimes (mainly for GG), and no word from Michigan yet.
