Mikuru, if you want to become a Night Watcher with the Rena you currently have, you should make that decision soon since those job tickets Cele mentioned are limited edition, and are being distributed out right now. First job classes cost about $20 and second job class advancements cost around $30. Since you’re level 32, you can only change to the first job class, so you’d want to get Trapping Ranger and advance to Night Watcher on your own. If you were level 35+, you could buy NW from the get-go.
Of course, you could always make a second Rena and get Night Watcher that way, but it’s up to you. Again, though, these tickets are only out for a limited time. Once the pre-events for Raven’s Veteran Commander begin, they won’t be available anymore. I would recommend getting the game again as soon as you can so you can get a feel for your Sniping Ranger again, seeing if you want to stick to your current job or if you want to switch.
The second post of this thread contains a link to the NW’s ElWiki page, along with a link to a list of character guides. You should check those out to research NW appropriately so you know what you’re getting into, if you switch to that class. Naturally, you can also use it to research the Sniping Ranger/Grand Archer, too.
Yeah, compared to my past experiences with Dungeon Fighter, Elsword is quite pricey with it’s microtransactions. It’s one of the more notable faults of the game, that I won’t deny, but I’ve learned to live with it.
Yeah, it’s one of the reasons why I stopped playing Elsword. I mean honestly, you have to cough up $40 just for a full costume set when in other games, you’ll just do either half or lower that price. It’s beyond pricey if you ask me. Then again, not as pricey as taking a chance to win something with no assurance that you’ll get a perm weapon / costume like in S4 League (I’m a EX-GM for that game).
Well, Elsword kinda has that with its Ice Burners. lol
I understand why you’d leave because of the steep prices, but at least you can take comfort in the fact that the best stuff in the game is earned and/or crafted. Being a wallet warrior gives you an edge, sure, but if you want to be the absolute best, Elsword makes you work for it. It’s one of the more commendable aspects of the game.
The worst part is when you start to buy costumes. Costumes are incredibly addicting. Just TRY playing Eve for a week without wanting to dress her up in a cute sailor suit, it’s not possible.
There’s no real good way to make money, you just have to farm dungeons. You could farm secrets, or farm the dungeons that drop maps for secrets and sell those. Some people make money by running others through Henir.
You could sell Henir cubes made from the pieces you get from Henir runs, buy costume sets from the Item Mall that you know are in demand to seal & sell them, grind for boss drops that you don’t need and seal & sell those, etc. You could also do what Cele has stated.
There really isn’t a fast way to make a lot of ED that doesn’t require a lot of work or spending on your end, so you’re gonna have to put in some serious elbow grease. I suggest storing up some K-Ching in advance in case you get something that’ll fetch a good price, but only if it’s sealed.
Most items need to be sealed to be traded. You buy seals from the shop, they cost $1-2 depending on rarity. If the seller says you seal, it means they want you to gift them a seal so that they can make the item tradable. And in order to enable gifting, you need to charge $100 in prepaid gift cards or $1000(!) by other means. Then you’ll be able to gift forever.
Uh well hard to say, i do see secret dungeons sets being used more than pvp gear and Abso set in pvp, but in comparison of PvP and Abso, its hard to say i guess it depends on the class and character that u are using.
I downloaded this game and started playing it (currently lv 6) and I don’t quite get it. Any good guides to get me started? I’m playing the hammer chick thingy.
