You can’t look solely at frame data when comparing two characters. Elena already gets alot of mileage out of cr.mp and cr.mk because of ex ms. Cr.mk has a fairly short range, but cr.mp is already pretty damn good and leads to tons of damage whether you mallet or you hk lynx fadc.
Is Elena’s midair reset landing animation different from the rest of the cast? Im getting counterhited by c.LP eveytime, and in trainning mode I need to press my buttons earlier to not get hit by Elena’s poke.
Also I hate the fact that elena getting hit, the animation is almost the same as her blocking animation. just adds to the frustration of your gaurd being opened up when you could swear you are blocking correctly
I still can’t do cr. LP or cr. MP xx Lynx Tail, like, at all. I can only get it if I focus really hard on the motion and let my stick go straight down instead of down-back. I’ve practiced and practiced, but it doesn’t get any easier. For practicality’s sake I’ve just started using st. LK if I want to go into Lynx Tail.
Not strange at all cr. LP > cr. MP is a 1 frame I believe…my only suggestion would be plinking…and slowing down your QCB motion after you do cr.MP…she has maybe a full second in regards to linking a special after cr. MP. Just practice dcoing cr. MP lynx tell motion and you’ll see…do that for a gazillion times then add in a cr. LP
Just do a reverse dp motion and when you are doing the down motion going toward the diagonal, hit cr.lp/cr.mp, and finish at the diagonal with the kick. You just need to start buffering the motion before even hitting the initial poke. That and remember that lynx can’t be done with shortcuts
I meant either normal, not both of them in that particular sequence. The 1-frame link is really the very least of my problems. I’ve done that link so many times now that I don’t think it’s possible for me to miss it. It definitely doesn’t feel like a 1-frame anymore.
That’s what I’ve been the most successful doing, but sometimes I end up doing the motion too quickly and getting Spin Scythe. I think my biggest problem is that I tend to go all the way right instead of locking into the diagonal. Cr. MP is a lot easier as a buffer, but sometimes I need it off of cr. LP in order to get the 2nd hit of HK Lynx Tail to connect (since cr. MP would push them too far away).
