Electric Wind God Fist _ Updt: 03.08.12

yeah it’s easy input, let’s you mist step much much faster basically through anything until you’re ready to attack

I got raw EWGF > EWGF > EWGF a couple of times (first EWGF was counterhit but I dunno if that works), timing is hella hard (have to do each EWGFat the earliest possible frame).
EWGF > EWGF > EWGF > cHPxxSuper should do 541 damage, pretty hefty for randomly hitting with a move that’s + on block and has huge priority

At this point EWGF4/5 might be possible on a grounded opponent, I couldn’t do that since my current execution already has much trouble with EWGF3 but someone with better execution or a programmable controller should try :stuck_out_tongue:

thx you guys for this off to the lab.

I wish i could land EWGF just ONCE .__.

Keep practicing, and check this video for help.

By the second day you’ll probably be landing them more often.

Can you just use the assist gem for Mist step or does it effect other moves?

Man, practicing EWGF is so much FUN!

I’m training on Tekken 6 at the moment and it feels great doing combos with it. Can’t wait to try it out in SFxT!

Can I use the long cut of his Mist step (f,b,d/b,d,d/f + M/H) as long as the d/f + M/H is the right timing? Im coming from KoF and this input is much easier for me then f, N, d, d/f.

when I was looking at input display some of the times where I did NOT get the EWGF was when I hit back during the motion. But it could be a coincidence and the mistake could’ve lied somewhere else. We need a programmable controller for 100% proof on EWGF execution quirks

Ok Correction the “long cut” does work I was just in training mode and did it four times in a row, with my input up display it clearly showed f,b,db,d,df +M/H so I dont know if it seems easier for anyone this way but it works.

Getting comfortable with landing EWGF. Was able to do 3 EWGFs in one combo plenty of times. (I do a 4th one sometimes too but do it late.)
Already getting them most of the time.

It feels realllly good.

After watching that tutorial i’m still not getting any progress :\

My inputs show i’m pressing F,D,DF, then another DF + HP… so i’m guessing the input needs to read F,D,DF + HP right? I really can’t imagine myself pressing this any faster but back to more grinding .__. I’m starting to think i’m doing something wrong, possibly missing the neutral part of the mist?

Make sure you got the feeling of your stick digging snuggly into the DF position of the gate, I find that helps.

What also helps is letting out a loud “MMMmmMMMHHH!!!” with each attempt. Get some!

Right, the former means you hit the punch after hitting df (even if by only a single frame)

yes missing the neutral is a possible cause, and it’s hard to detect since input display doesn’t show neutrals.

Don’t get discouraged, it’s hard. I’d dare to sey the hardest stand-alone special move ever in a capcom game. You’ll get it, take your time.

It has to be on the first df that mp/hp is registered if not you will get the regular one.

You need to take your time. Trust me when I say I couldn’t do it all on the first day, and by the second day I started getting a few. It’s really best to just keep training.

The video didn’t really lie when it said it takes weeks or even months to master the move. (Though I imagine weeks for SFxT since you don’t have that DEWGF stuff.)

well no dewgf, pewgf and such things to learn here, sure. But I’m having an harder time with this “regular” EWGF than Tekken’s
(might be just because it’s been a long time since I last played tekken, but still…)

Finally getting a few while holding down a button to not get mist; the grind begins. Thanks for the help, sorry for flooding with random posts <3

edit: okay so i’m getting EWGF even while my input is something like F,B,D,DF + HP, I don’t think you need the exact myst motion, you just need DF + HP at the same frame. I’m sorry if this has been found already .__.

sadly it affects everything

Do I hit bot Mp + Hp or just one or the other?
