James Miller resigned from the Pentagon post in a scathing letter to Secretary of Defense Esper over the gassing of peaceful protestors at the church in DC for Trump’s photo op.
And now Mark Esper is breaking with Trump on using the military for the riots:
I just got signed memorandum from Esper, sent out to all DOD, declaring as much.

I feel like Obama purely didn’t do it just because he didn’t wanna incite shit. But I feel the opposite of trump. Obama was already accused of race baiting and supposedly creating tension when in fact we just all just more cameras available.

It’s actually more simple than that- it’s legally problematic to declare domestic organizations ‘terrorists’ in the United States because the legal designation of ‘terrorist’ strips the target of some of the rights guaranteed to citizens in the Constitution.
So if the State Dept declared the KKK to be terrorists, KKK members could sue and potentially get our anti-terrorism laws overturned.
So Antifa probably won’t be legally declared a terrorist organization, and even if it was there’s not much legal risk because there’s not really any such thing as an Antifa organization people are members of in that way.
