Most countries are doing various levels of bad in terms of the Covid response. I agree he could have done better but Iām also not sure what that would have looked like. I also agree that heās thrown gas on some things, but like I said to Chad, itās not like this stuff is happening in a vacuum and that those things were never issues before.
Again, I donāt like the guy, but heās an easy scapegoat for a lot of problems weāve had for a long time.

I avoid this thread like the plague but I have to say this somewhere.
Tons of my friends back home in Washington have been posting whatās going on over the weekend and itās fucking breaking my heart. Iāve been crying the last 30 minutes from watching all the chaos. Some of which my friends have personally recorded and been in the shit at time of recording.
Whatās going on makes my home look like a god damn war zone and it scares the shit out of me.
Iāve also been following twitter non-stop since Friday watching the chaos, instigated by undercover cops, cops in uniform and people disguised as antifa or BLM protesters unfold. Iāve been trying to fight panic attacks all weekend because of it.
Iāve also seen some amazingly powerful photos and videos that give me hope. But, since the media is ignoring the actual peacefulness of these marches, the solidarity of these marches and people actively trying to stop non-government property damage, that hope gets diminished very quickly.
What the fuck is happening to home? What the fuck is happening to my country? I hate this.
Our government is willing to go to war with its own citizens because we want cops to be held accountable for killing innocent black men, women and children. Itās frightening
If any of you go to protests please be safe. Be smart. Be brave. Be the message this country needs. If you canāt go to a protest. Spread the word to those local so maybe that can.

He should have used the Defense Production powers to requisition and distribute ventilators and PPE to hospitals in highly affected areas, instead he ordered Federal Agents to seize what supplies of PPE we had and disappeared them into a ānational supplyā hoard that he refused to share with anyone.
He should have provided a unified national guideline to determine what areas could be safely opened or closed as appropriate, instead he tweeted for his followers to āliberateā any highly affected area that has a Democrat as governor.
When called out over a really fucking bad idea tweet implying medication advice, he tripled fucking down on it instead of telling people to defer to their doctorsā guidance. Fucker is still implying itās smart to take prophylactic HCQ.
He should have been upfront reporting facts instead of telling everyone that there were only ever going to be 15 patients going on zero, or that the virus would āmiraculouslyā die off in the sun by June.
He should wear a fucking mask when going out in public if only to encourage other people to use best practices and minimize the number they infect.
Guy acts as if he has no duty of care to Americans because heās just savvy enough to know that dead people canāt vote against him. Has me really looking forward to his next term when he doesnāt have to pretend to give a fuck about his supporters either because he isnāt up for election again.

lol. That reminds me of a few months into the trump campaign that a friendās wife tried to use the,āIf you vote for him youāre a white supremacistā on me. The punchline, as you may have guessed, is that sheās met me in real life and can easily confirm from the picture they took that I havenāt changed colors nor have I joined the klan. It still gets a chuckle out of me to this day.

So let me give you some good news. The international news are painting the protests in a much better light.
The local news here has ground reporters in cities like NY and Washington and especially in NY, theyāre showing how peaceful and big the protest is. Itās a powerful, positive image of americans fighting for a worthy cause.
