I would agree with this, the only reason I tend to be knowledgeable about history is because I have read quite a bit of history/philosophy/economics/social commentary from people who are dead and wrote those books in the time that those events occurred. This gives you a much better framework of the belief system that people had at the time and is much better than trying to put dead people on trial for whatever silly woke ideas that colleges are pushing in current year.

Not a cave, but worse. A drunken stupor that was almost literally a daily thing with me back then. I broke that horse’s back in 2013 and never looked back.

Back then I wasn’t into politics so I missed most of this back and forth with Obama. I don’t want that to be an excuse, but I felt it worth mentioning. Even then most of what I was watching was online. News felt fake to me even then so it wasn’t something I watched much of.

One thing I will touch on is that you said Trump went on FOX news a lot. Did any of the other channels have him or other guests on regularly to speak out against the President the way they do now? I’d argue that news today is far more anti-president than it was during Obama’s time, or even any other president in recent memory. I’m really not liking the negative slant they put on the news. It’s so much doom and gloom that it just messes with a person’s mind IMO.

You have an Italy situation creeping up in a bunch of different places where hospitals are nearing ICU capacity or are there already. A bunch of other people haven’t fully recovered even though they sort of count as recovered. You get a chunk of people spending months in ICU to deal with it…

But hey, the issues is that people aren’t dying so things aren’t that bad.
