In a lot of ways, it’s not a wrong viewpoint at all. Just because bad shit went down doesn’t mean prosperity wasn’t overall higher.

Killer Mike has talked about, multiple times at that, how segregation lead to a lot of economic benefits for black americans.

The end of it took the exclusive customer base black businesses had. Black customers were willing to go to white businesses but wgite customers didnt reciprocate; add to that the white businesses had better locations and the competition finished killing off a lot of black businesses.

I made a huge ass post about this a way back. College admissions at UC colleges is super reflective of the state racial demographics. Only up to 20% of incoming students can be from out of state. Just look at the metrics.
