Yea sure. I’m just pointing out it’s not half…yet.

Obesity also has a weird reputation as a word. It doesn’t mean you’re so fat you can’t tie your shoes or see your dick or something. It can mean that but it doesn’t at face value. Obese mostly just means you are over your ideal weight which is why the spectrum of people it describes is pretty wide. I mean “dad bod” is an obese body type but its hardly an extreme level of uncontrolled weight.

I get taking down statues of the “losers” of history but…how many statues are enough? and who/what is next?

Eh, man Jesus 90% probability wasn’t white. Being angry about it like that is kinda silly imo, but I’m not religious at all. My thoughts are Jesus preached a good life and that includes honesty. Be honest Christians…he probably wasn’t white. It’s ok you know.

I think my thing is, just let peeps love Jesus how they like. Who is really perpetuating white supremacy inside a white Jesus? I agree that it’s silly to be angry for what she said or to agree with her. I just wonder how much more is going to be taken down before it’s over.

Yea, I have no idea.

I mean, He was probably like the average dude in Israel in His physical body. Probably not white.

As a Christian, I can’t understand why people care about that tho. Bible goes out of its way to even say He wasn’t the most handsome man to walk the Earth as His only known physical trait.

You’d expect people to take the hint and not give a fuck about what He looked like, but nope. :man_shrugging:

No way was jesus white.

But christian tv wants to portray him as a whiteman

He probably looked closer to black jesus than any other depiction

Don’t we have a description of Jesus somewhere or is it a mystery?

Wrong

What you advocate does not provide options, it simply forces people into situations that may not even benefit them.

I dont get a choice when it comes to medicare, I have to pay for it, even if I never use it. The government forces me to oay for a service I may never even use or want to use.

Additionally, all your ideas for state sponsored healthcare, would force me to participate at the threat of gun point because I would have to pay for the service. Wheter or not I want to use the service, state sponsored healthcare would force my hand as a private individual into participation. This by definition removes the entire premise of free market principles from this aspect of the economy. Being forced into a contract and or service isnt more options. And depending on my income level, it outright robs me of options and punishes me because it forces me into a service I may not need nor want, but have no say in the matter. So how is that more options?

These are very basic economic principles, and I’m having a very hard time understanding why you arent aware of, or lack the basic understanding of them.

Secondly, sanders by definition wants to integrate the state into the economy, which always results in state monopoly over said services. Because the state will. Ot allow private firms to compete once it secures revenue.

Me calling sanders what he is, a socialist, isnt dismissing anything. Its calling him what he is, and that people signaling to you that they dont want state sponsored bullshit because they see the cancer that it is.

As for corporate greed, or whatever that’s supposed to mean. Your solution, would only shift power from private companies to state monopolies. These are the worst kind of monopolies, because you are forced to not o ly fund them, you’re stuck with them no matter how shitty they are. As it becomes impossible to compete with the entity that not only has secured its revenue via laws, its authorized to used violence if it feels threatened. Again, these are basic ideas in political science, so why am I having to explain them to you

Nope, there some documents in the middle ages but they were all forgeries.

He would probilly look like the dude in above pic black hair, brown eyes, olive skin, probilly even darker as carpenters often works outdoors and as a carpenter would probably have some muscle from the manual labor the trade requires.

Are we seriously going to have this jesus discussion?

At the time of the Roman’s, the Mediterranean hellenic phenotype was common, as was the semetic and Turkish caucus phenotype.

This is probably the lamest argument to have about jesus.

The Roman’s thought they could debase their currency because of the power they wielded. As did every other great empire.

This is the dumbest fucking hot take I’ve seen in this thread.

Hurry durr let’s just print more money becauae we havent immediately collapsed, so it means it must be OK. Let’s do this while we also push heavily to decouple our currency from oil, by switching to solar immediately!

Either people won’t know ahit, or know, and are purposely pushing these stupid ass ideas as a means to collapse the country.

Galilea was not populated by Greeks
