Trump sets the country back. Biden brings any potential change to a screeching halt. Rinse and repeat.

On one hand, denying someone a voice because they committed a crime seems wrong if they’ve paid their debt to society.
But on the other, if someone, say, kills somebody for some unjustified reason, should we trust their judgement to pick leaders?
I don’t really believe democracy works in practicality, but this is a question I’ve never quite been able to reconcile.

It’s funny and ironic considering Democrats are supposed to be (or paint themselves as) the progressive party while Republicans are these “white trash” scumbags who worship the slave owners (or something along those lines). And yet their “progressiveness” stops exactly at the point where Hollywood and Silicon Valley stand - diversity, pandering to minorities, tokenism, and so on

If you aren’t going to vote and have a say on how you’re getting taxed, then you shouldn’t get taxed either.

Support has always been wishy washy for Biden after he took the nomination and is directly tied to Trump’s disapproval and how much he stays quiet. Never on his own merits.

you would think that of all people Sanders would be the most cautious when dealing with these politicians. They’ve already turned on him twice in as many election cycles for someone whom he could’ve beaten in popularity, if not in votes. Say what you will about him, but at least he had the Bernie bros. Who’s ridin’ for biden? Where were Clinton’s cronies at? They did bernie dirty twice and my money says they’ll do it again in a heartbeat.

The rich part is the difference in how party members deal with criticisms of Sanders and Biden.
Sanders leading: “Well I’m just not sure a socialist is the best pick in such a high-stakes election.”
Biden leading: “VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO! What are you going to do, vote someone else like some kind of Nazi?”
Kind of fucked up that the Libertarian academic that wants to eliminate the Department of Education is the most intelligent person running and her poll numbers are competitive with Kanye simply declaring a run for president.

both sides show that it’s not about their guy winning, it’s about the actual power behind the man getting in and inserting their will. Don’t mind the men and women behind the curtain as Trump/Biden do their speech in front of the camera.
There’s still people that firmly believe either side will magically fix everything. A reason why I’m not registered to either of the big two. Now there’s a few on both sides that do care but tend to get drowned out if they don’t stay in their lanes.

It’s a perpetual cycle of promising to repair the damage that previous guy caused while not actually doing anything major, creating an image of making change, and in reality just pushing either their own or the status quo’s/establishment’s agenda

They thought that bringing every minority imaginable on the grand stage during their convention was enough to convince America that Hillary is right person for the job.
