Hey, if you don’t care that Trump is blowing up graves, that makes you an asshole in my book.

nice deflection

why don’t you address what i just said?

You can keep crying all you want, asshole. It doesn’t change the fact that you are an asshole.

you only call me an asshole when i say something that you don’t like to hear. i’m sorry if the truth hurts your feelings.

What are you trying to get at? I just addressed that a few posts up. No matter how you spin it, if you defend Trump destroying graves, that makes you an asshole. And the fact that you keep pressing this makes you a fucking idiot, because I’ve already explained myself.

nope. didn’t explain why you were lying to make inferno man look bad.

Ok, I’m done with you.

Idiot comfirmed, y’all. I don’t have time to waste on bread-headed morons. I’m done.

you can’t explain why you did it because it’s bad form and you know it.

Here you go, bud. This is you accusing me of lying about caring about the destruction of NA graves.

Bullshit manipulation tactic? Couldn’t have cared less about what I was preaching about? I think the issue here is that you have a reading comprehension deficiency. I’ve explained myself thoroughly why I think it’s fucked up for Trump to do this. From a legal standpoint, from a moral standpoint, and from a professional standpoint. If you want to keep flinging accusations at me, you do you, man. But it’s making you look stupid.

this isn’t about trump and you know it.

it’s about you pretending to care about the native americans who were oppressed and cast aside for generations.
who were stomped on by this country.

just to make someone look bad.

by your own admission you aren’t a bleeding heart liberal crying about the poor native people.

my reading comprehension is just fine.

it’s your failure to realize that what you’ve done and said to try to make someone feel bad, while lying, is fucked up and is the problem.

was it, or did you just not like hearing the truth…by your own admission.

Came into the office and the activities committee dropped one of these on everyone’s desk. Reading through this thread, looks like I need this. .

I’ll definitely walk back a bit saying that people NEED to be personally affected, but it definitely increases the likelihood of them actually doing something about a situation. Imo, if you really care enough about something, you’ll do something, because simply fulfilling a vague social contract of going “aww” and moving it along does nothing, is the equivalent of forwarding an email in my opinion. Sure it does empathy, but it doesn’t fix the problem.

I can appreciate where you’re coming from.

Anecdotally- I heard once that exporting quinoa was bad for South American farming communities, so I don’t buy it anymore (BARELY a sacrifice on my part). But that’s the extent of what I’m doing on that front, because that’s about as far as that particular quantum of empathy extends in the face of the other things I have to worry about.

I feel you. I’m actually a pretty empathetic person but I’ve had to learn to spend emotional energy more wisely because I’d care too much about something I couldn’t really do anything about, and that’s a hopeless feeling. I had a therapist tell me once that there’s a difference between appreciating a bad situation and actually caring about so maybe that’s the disconnect.

You seem to backing up his mind set, thays why I made that argument. I don’t agree with it.

That could be argued but is a different topic really. The minorities around me are Mexican, not black. There are black people here but the largest minority is Mexican, hence the black experience isn’t something that effects me. I still feel for them tho and think we should do better mainly because doing better is the right thing to do. There are other benefits but doing right is the most important one above all. It’s wrong to walk on them, and it’s wrong to walk on natives and what little left of their history exists.

It’s wrong, wether you are effected by it or not, it’s just fucking wrong.

My argument is that you don’t need skin in the game to recognize when a group of people are being wronged. Skin in the game is just an excuse to justify your personal apathy to the plight of others.

Pretending to care? Are mentally deficent? Its his profession. He isn’t just virtue signaling on Twitter. It his occupation. He is the last person you should be making thst accusation against. You assumed he didn’t really care. After he aired out your assumption, instead being man enough to cop to your L, you continue to post whittling away your own credibility. Before you, I have never seen this man get angry. In the most heated debates I’ve been in on this forum, many of which I didn’t agree with his opinion, he kept his cool. Chad is a better man than me in that regard. For him to lose patience with some speak volumes about that persons idiocy.

He makes himself look bad in all honesty.

You also do this a lot with your virtue signalling of trump so good.

Yes virtue signalling works a whole lot of ways. You stand for the cause just because lol liberal tears when you in fact do not condone being done but are fine with it because everybody who does care is “faking the funk” as it were.

But there are people so ambivalent and wanting to see others suffer in the guise of “it benefits americans” when really it is just “as long as it is not me”
