Hey guys, I used to play Fuerte casually in New Braunfels, Texas and I have access to an AE cabinet at Arcade Ufo in Austin. I have always enjoyed playing Fuerte, but only I have just now wanted to play him seriously. I would like to help out as much as I can with the El Fuerte community and would like to learn as much as possible from you guys as well. The things that I have noticed so far about the changes are they do hurt but they do not leave you helpless. Good mix ups and mind games will still lead to victory if executed right. The will thing that I will say sucks the most is getting hit out of tortilla propeller by akuma’s stand roundhouse. I though Yun & Yang match-ups would be played the same but I was wrong lol. The better the yang players get the more difficult the match up gets. Yun is a interesting match-up his pressure is good but I have been splashing his dive kicks and it seems to discourage the player from abusing them. Yang’s pressure seemed a little harder to put up with in my opinion(although it might have been because the yang player got much better since the last time I played him lol) If I keep yang out the match is fine, but as soon as he gets in its soooo hard to get out. I have been breaking even when playing against both of those characters.

Iori has the same play style to me. That’s interesting.
That gold alt 2 fuerte vs rog. Yes. YES! it’s like he was friggin everywhere.
1:07 - RAAAAAAPE. DAT AIR THROW.
wow that fuerte at 1:07:25 plays just like me lol.
That EX Hayate on Iori made me go “GOD! MY! OH!”. I knew about the armor breaker and everything, but that breaking glass sound effect made that thing sound so godlike.
I’m starting to wonder if I’m the only Fuerte who turtles… >_>
I have been wanting to try that playstyle recently. Fuerte is just so much fun to play fast and aggressive its hard to stop and slow down.
it doesn’t work against every character. but I still need to get it through my head to stop letting them go on wake up. a bad habit my turtling has developed.
why dont you ever use his only buff?? lol his cr jab is his best poke by far now and it has really good range and priority you can link it for free fuerte actually has better defense with that now cause people just cant go crazy hit em with 3 jabs lol. also linking standing jab into crouching jab is ridiculously easy.
I think its just a habit we need to develop. I for one when I played AE at CTF I tried poking out a jab here and there to escape pressure and xx run outta there.
I’m wondering. We have cr HP as an anti air in situations.
Considering how many normals’ priority have been improved I want to see if crHP can do better (example: shoto/Sak jHK)
my checklist keeps getting larger. I’ll see if my scrubby ass can’t get to ctf either early tommorow and/or Wednesday.
I am interested in that as well. We just got the AE kit here in SA, just waiting on it to get assembled and I will be able to get some time in on it to check things as well. :bgrin:
Yeah. No go today. But I have nothing specific for Wednesday so I’ll head out on Wednesday
this is true…i dont ever see spab use it.
lol because I always forget, shit feels strong as hell though
yea…it is…you juss need to stop going nuts…play with yur pokes…
Yo. I’m definetly going tommorow. Here’s my checklist. Let me know if there’s any COMMON things I should look for:
-check if crLP can combo easier/always after gordita sobat.
-guac trade still in effect. (example, hk guac vs shoto jHK)
-run deadzone
-crLK still slips tiger knee
- see if crLK slips yun dash punch
-far lp xx run still in? (confirmed crlp xx run) - see if you can run under yun/yang on clhk xx run
-see if crHP was improved by testing versus shoto/sak jHK
-see if we can corpse hop yun/yang
-see if Q-bomb can anti air more/better
-Fuerte’s throws. Damage buff?
I’m still wondering 'cause of the quicker stop can cMK combo to RSF without counter hit.
what time are you going densuo?
