man fuerte’s cr jab buff is mad cheap. fuck tortilla you dont need that shit. pressure it uppppp
There you go, Manny. Mission Accomplished. Now pick Fuerte back up damn it.
Damn I want a quesadilla.
c.lp helps in AE… a lot…
felt like playing boxer lol
Honestly. El fuerte’s crlp chains to itself easier then balrog’s jab if you ask me… It’s so freaking easy. It’s damn well cheap.
Played AE once yesterday at Round 1 in puente hills. Beat 4 people then lost and was dragged away by my girlfriend. Didn’t really test out the new c.lp stuff. Just did my normal gameplay, but everything still seems solid. Did some fun RSFs and c.mk loop pressure, along with air throw shenanigans (threw a Honda out of his headbutt from an off the wall a couple times.)
Oh god I just thought about this. With tortilla’s change does that friggin move still beat lariat??
if not theres always slide and Q-Bomb … i prefer slide … sometime i throw a bomb in there hehe
Sorry its out of focus.
This is God telling you El Fuerte is not supposed to win.
I was playing casuals at AI tonight and right when I was about to beat this chun…the machine got an error =’(
… Wow.
It’d prolly be hilarious if we see a Fuerte do well xx ERROR in high level play. The stream monsters would eat that shit up.
Q&A with Ono:
Q: why does AE get errors when I win with El Fuerte?
A: El Forte vandalization character.
I guess so, but makoto and yang are so fun
Not sure if this worked in regular SSF4 but I was able to slide through seth after knocking down with slide and forward throw (walked forward a little then did slide). I’ll be playing more within the next few weeks since we just got AE here in SA, I’ll post anything interesting.
Good to know fuerte has gotten better, I think I’ll be paying him a lot more attention now.
Hey guys. This is my first time posting here but I came up with a question that I really wanted someone who has access to AE to answer. I was messing around in training mode with Fuerte practicing the run-stop-lk loop and I had an interesting thought. Since the stop has been reduced to 1 frame, would that mean that if executed quickly enough, the lk loop could become a true block string? If that’s the case, it could potentially become another source of safe pressure on blocking opponents. This is just a theory but it’d be awesome if someone could try this out the next time they get a chance to play AE.
Or u could just use crouching jab since it is an actual blockstring and doesnt require a quarter of the execution st lk does
could you guys explain the use of cr lp chain? any examples to support your stand?
The jury is out on that one. His buffs are outweighed by his nerfs and still having 3 glitches.
Rufus does galactic tornado. recovers fast enough to do Messiah kick. previously, you could do nothing about it, now you can punish his attempt at messiah with crLP x4 xx run.
crLP chains easier the Balrog’s crLP because of it’s odd hitstun.
before, you needed perfect execution when landing ONE normal in this case, crMK to xx into run stop crMK, which is risky. Fuerte is a character who has NOTHING but risky, high execution combos (with few exceptions) given a 100000% safe and un-fuck-up-able chain jab combo which legitimately hurts low health characters.
no one likes getting hit by the same move over and over, people hate eating RSFs, imagine the same irritance you’ll cause with a jab on a character that can run away and be annoying, and that it’s kept its good range and priority.
It’s borderline cheap.
I didn’t know where to post this since there doesn’t seem to be a video only thread.

One of the sickest Fuertes I’ve seen in a while. I really like his annoying style lol. Good shit. Though he gets destroyed by Uryo.
GiPie’s still the best though.

dedicated video thread is here bro. Thanks for posting the vid.
good to see some annoying fuerte, and always good to see a Yun lose.
ok i have a few questions:
1)since f+mk has a “better hitbox” does that mean it’ll go over lows like cr.mp/mk (ie.ryu/fei)?
2)since the run slide got faster does that mean cr.rh did too?or maybe a hitbox adjustment so standing atks cant hit it?
3)st.rh is faster but does it connect on crouchers better? cuz more often than not it whiffs 4 me even tho my opponent is cr. right in front of me.
thanks in advance to whoever answers.
No. F+MK** does not skip over** low attacks, it’d be too good if it did (DO IT CAPCOM!!!). Only close MK / gordita sobat go over some low attacks and even then you should not do that except for MAYBE as a one-shot shenanigan to bait a ultra grab with close MK. if you’re looking for a way to smack a ryu spamming crMK you can smack him out of it with a well placed far MP. Needless to say, this is gimmick, Fuerte isn’t really about traditional footsies.
Calamari slide (run slide) and crHK are different moves. period. Cr HK is still far safer then Calamari in any situation and can lead to grab/U2 shenanigans or a crLP chain string to waste time.
The second hit of st.RH is the only one that hits crouching opponents. The only way to land both hits of it at the same time is to have a person focus attack (doesn’t work on everyone’s focus, example, guys whose focus makes them step back or duck) or against Cody’s low ruffian kick when done at the same time from match start distance.
