My friend who plays Chun, dashes forward on her wake up sometimes and it screws up my entire mixup game. Example: Tostada press won’t reach her if she dashes forward.
What can I do to punish a foward dash?

Do a fake tortilla. When you think Chun is expecting a Tostada, run back a bit and then do Tortilla. Do it where it would not hit Chun if she stood still. Basically, she’ll literally walk into your trap. Just a reminder, do NOT do this if Chun-Li has Hosenka available. If spaced right, it’s a counter for Kikoushou.
Vanilla: My God, El Fuerte has a rape face.
@bobatapioca: Slide also works in addition to late tortilla that KumaOso mentioned. If you really know for sure she will forward dash you might as well RSF her in the face
@Vanilla: Congrats, and very cool sketch. People should start knowing our luchador and respect him or they WILL be sparked!
So basically fake tortilla’ing is just running back and holding back on the tortilla so it doesn’t go anywhere? is that generally a good mixup to do? what other uses can it be for?
Aside from that, it can bait DPs which then allows you to go straight into RSF.
hmmm ok i’ll try implementing that into my game, thanks
it’s a great mixup. if they jump you can punish with literally anything. if they jump from the direction you tortilla’d from, if it’s a character with a larger hitbox, you can jump up and airthrow them. if they neutral jump, you can c.fp, or close rh xx guac, or ultra. if they jump backwards, you can guac or ultra. so many possibilities.
They made a comic that had him in it but they dun know who he is. Wow.
But total YOU GONNA GET RAPED face. Just like Balrog’s and DeeJay’s before fighting.
I like looking on the fuerte bp rankings and being like "hey! I know that guy from srk!"
It’ll be nice putting faces to screen names for any of you guys who are also going to evo.
i love my furete rank on live. last time i checked im " the 13th best fuerte in the world". 13 is such a lucky number for me.
I haven’t been playing much online or checked the rankings in the last week or so. I am at like 4000+ BP, wherever that puts me.
I’ve been going for C to Shining C so haven’t even really used Fuerte much even if I do get a chance to play.
I’m 84th best in the US and 215th in the world.
o rly?
points: not skill.
no offence btw.
diddnt say points did equate to skill. the thing is 13 is really my lucky number. It was my number when i played baseball and soccer. I was also the 13th member to join my friends handball crew(only one who made it to B rank).
Ya Bp is more of an indicator of time played, although you cant totally suck cause if you actually lose alot in this game it will reflect on your points… 3rd ranked dudley in the world btw : D lol
I was looking at Fuerte BP rankings and went “hey that dude’s on SRK and is on my FL and lives in Calgary”
You got a ton of points D:
This made me lol hard. We need to up the El Fuerte cred more.
I was playing a back-dashing Zangief yesterday, so I started meaty sliding him on wakeup to sweep him at the very last frames of my sweep. So, he then started just doing SPD on wake-up, without a backdash, and he was grabbing me out of my slide…
What’s up with that? I didn’t know he could completely ignore his lower hitbox when activating SPD…
Any advice? I mean, obviously if he was going to start SPD’ing, then I just changed up my mix-up, but I didn’t know SPD beats slide.
Yeah, it does. And it’s a lesson you never forget.
With all this looking up your ranking business, is it console specific? Like if it says I’m 10th in the US and I play on PSN does it take into account the xbox rankings as well?
