Don’t backdash after Gief knocks you down and then does a crossup. You get so fucked up with the reset

absolutely

Lariat.

getting knocked down by gief is death.

the worst is at least for me is when you get knocked down and gief does a lariat, and you ex back run -> tortilla. and take twice the hits from lariat. not cool man… -30% hp

One thing that happened to me a few weeks ago while I was playing a Viper was I did an EX run back and absorbed either one or two seismos, then I ran into the corner and couldn’t stop and so I absorbed one or two more seismos.

50% white life.

The only thing Keeping Fuerte from being solid is actually having an escape. I think he has the worst escape in the game.

Hakan.

From what spore tells me, when you ex run against gief on wake up and you try to tortilla or splash, gief could do standing jab. if you watch TKD’s matches, he just ex runs to get out of there and resets the situation.

and I used to think fuertes backdash is bad. but its actually pretty good because it cant get OS’d as bad as other backdashes.

and in matches like rufus and cammy. you can backdash, the jab xx run to get out of pressure. or when balrog is pressuring you in the corner and looks like hes bout to tick grab you. you can backdash and grab him out of the startup of his next jab.

I’m trying to adjust to a new layout. It’s annoying when I try to Focus.

honestly i think you should just stay with the original layout. its soo straightforward. and if you get the chance to goto an arcade, then you wouldnt have a problem.

Not only that, but I’ve used the layout for nearly two years.

lol sooo why change now?

Sporetempest mentioned he has HP on the middle finger to do RSF so I thought I’d try that. Didn’t think the switch would be that hard.

i hope u mean that your just moving your fingers and not switching the button layout. because spore is an arcade player, and they never get to switch buttons.

^ Yah, I’m pretty sure Spore just meant he uses his middle finger instead of ring finger on the hard punch button, that’s why he said it’s a stretch. Pretty sure he hasn’t altered his button mappings.

last night i was good. We did a danisen format which I can’t describe, it’s a bit like BP I guess. It’s seperated into 1st dan, 2nd dan, 3rd, etc. all the way to 10th dan and then 3 special ranks. To rank up you have to win one and if you lose one you go -1 unless you’re in first dan at 0. So it’s like an arcade in that two people play each other and the winner stays on, loser leaves.

First was against a Cammy player…I failed :frowning: Only thing I caught onto was that he would Spiral Arrow if I ran at him so I baited one once and didn’t ultra :frowning:

Second in danisen (which was a while later, so I played lots of casuals in between because there were 4 setups but only 1 for danisen because most people were in 1st dan) was vs a pad player Ryu (Bee) who was using Balrog. Basically we didn’t take each other seriously in the first round so I did Tortilla while watching his controller lol, so dirty.

I stayed on and had to play the Adon player I played a few weeks ago but he was using Cody. It was a pretty intense match but I didn’t react fast enough to catch Bingo which I was baiting for like 30 seconds because we were both low on health. Cody can be an annoying matchup because his c. mk (slide) completely avoids Tostada, Fajita, and maybe Tortilla. His forward dash is also really annoying as it can avoid a few things on it’s own.

Casuals in between was where I did a lot better. Before things started I played against Stevercakes (another Fuerte player) who was using Dee Jay. Any of his charge back kicks can be punished with ultra, but it’s tough when you don’t have meter because you can’t focus if you think he’ll go for c. mk because he might do lk sobat or whatever it’s called. He barely threw any fireballs so I couldn’t jump off the wall and I always felt like I had to bait because if he did his EX sobat (charge back then kicks, I’ll call it this) he could avoid Tostada and I would eat it if I land in front or he would be too far away to punish. He could do up kicks which has recovery like Guac and beats tortilla and tostada. weird matchup.

Then I played a Dhalsim player, Jpizzle. Dhalsim is actually not too bad of a matchup. All you need to do is run away, build a meter, then ex run in at the right time because you can’t get hit out of it. I usually did ex run into throw lol. Not much to say here, don’t try and counter poke because there’s really no point.

Next I played a good Bison player, Dalton. Everything has been said that needs to be said about Bison, you can rs mp him until he has a meter though. I could rs mp everyone there though because I’m the only one who can do run stop pressure lol, nobody knew how to handle it so I abused it.

After that I played…Matty, another good Bison player but a bit better than Dalton. Almost everything has been said, I still use U2 though because I found out when I accidently tried to armour cancel into u2 that u2 punishes s. mk. fuck yeah.

Then I played an Akuma player, not too much to be said again.

Then I played as Ryu against Fuerte and learned something. Don’t corpse hop against Ryu, it’s pointless and easy to react to if you go for crossup tostada.

Edit: Oh yeah, Boba you got a mention last night lol. Dalton mentioned you raping Jinrai, the Seth player who’s from Edmonton but doesn’t come out too much. They said you were pretty good.

What r u talking about fuerte with meter has the best escape in the game. The only thing that makes him ass is he’s so limited and does no damage combine that with no health equals ass.

@chuck

Lol I remember bodying him a few times on srklive. I actually posted a match of me vs him on my YouTube channel. I’d link it but I’m on my phone right now. But yeah full damage ultra 2 kills Seth at 70% LOL.

Yeah that’s the one we ended all saw

lol man idk what you just said

So that tourney I got 3rd place in last weekend. there having it again this wednesday coming up. Justin and Marn are going to enter too since there in NYC. soo imma try to get some casuals against them and see how good my fuerte pars up with them.
