Viper can ex seismo and cancel and grab right after though.
and you can beat ex seismo with cr.rh, far s.rh, f+mk but its weird timing. fajita, tortilla.
You know, I was thinking about that today on my way back from visiting family. As for Tortilla beating EX Seismo, I would say this is extremely risky. Trying to do that as they’re doing EX Seismo on wakeup will fail from my experiences. Far s.rh and cr.RH are your safest options in my opinion. Everything else seems to risky, but I’m willing to bet Fajita Buster has its uses.
what about… Gordita sobat for ex seismo?
As for Blanka ball. Focus to close rh xx guac works but I prefer to keep it simple. I should have of course mentioned that punish but I was simply reffering to what beats what. Sorry about that.
Has anyone tried gordita sobat after a teched grab yet?
I usually go for dropkick against EX seismo, tends to throw the other player off a bit since its not part of the regular Fuerte mixups.
That reminds me of how I like to do corpse hop and instead of slide, just go into a regular grab.
Hmmm. I remember a match I had a while ago. Ex seismo LOOKS like it hits all around her. But I remember landing behind her with tortilla. Then nothing happened.
Or was that Ultra 1.
DAMN IT why didn’t I post that shit immediatley when I found out. I have failed.
Edit: more wonky hit box stuff. I tostada pressed THROUGH a blanka upball. I think it was the ex one. But my Tostada was on the way down. This isn’t reliable. Just throwing this out there.
gordita sobat beats seismo.
and yeah you can catch tech grabs with gordita sobat, but you gotta do like c.lk c.mk run stop grab. to condition them and stuff. its safe at -1. so if your close enough, you can be able to do s.lk run again. or you can just ex run splash or something
Actually, it’s +1, but it’s still safe.
yup +1 my fault. i was using regular cl.mk lately. numbers stuck in my head.
wont we still get jabbed out by stuff?
Edit: I feel Gordita should be safer then that. I guess it wasn’t made uber safe since if it were any safer, then it’d be free RSF on counterhit, and linkable to RScrMK.
wooot got 3rd place in a local tourney =D.
Lost to dieminion in winners bracket, then lost to him again in losers final.
feels good though, I beat his guile one game, then he switched to honda, his honda is a problem lol.
Hey, sPaB, do you have a link to any possible stream archives you appeared in?
i just posted two vids in the vid section, but usually if you just search my name on youtube it should come up. but I got more losses on vid than anything, so it shouldnt be good training vid lol…
Well, I’m just looking to see how you’ve implemented run stop pressure in your matches and then go from there.
Hey dudes, quick question. What’s the trick to connecting overhead > super consistently? Pianoing/plinking? Do you have to factor in spacing and use a specific kick for the super?
I disagree. Reviewing losses are just as important as reviewing wins. The point is to see the match from a different perspective. Maybe see what kinda bad habits you had or so on.
Lots of times I look at some of my losses and see where I need to improve.
I think Ryu said it in SF3. Better a loss where you learn something instead of an empty win.
yeah for me I look at the matches to help myself, but like for someone else trying to learn from example. then thats different.
Like I said, I was just looking for places where you applied run stop pressure. I have no intention of copying your style, but I will consider some of your strategies.
@Densuo
Every time I hear the term “empty win”, I keep thinking of that Ken I raped at that big tourney all because he didn’t know the matchup. At least I’m willing to help people with the El Fuerte matchup so it’ll help me in the end.
@WarioMan
There really isn’t. You cancel into the Super so it’s a matter of finding the proper timing. I don’t think you have to factor in the version of the super except I think it’s either harder to or it’s impossible to combo with the HK Super.
I’m loving Taco Knee more and more. Sopapilla Butt is getting some more loving too. And I should kill my walljumping habit, but at least I’m doing it a bit more intelligently.
The instant I do shower kick I do qcf x3 + k.
Spab: a good example is also showing someone what NOT to do. As it effectively reminds people not to do certain things.
Examples: that old matchup video advising not to do ultra 1 on blanka ultra one. Particularly after using EX guac to get past it. How not running, staying put is advisable, Or not doing super versus balrog ex rush punch. Or not doing Q-bomb versus Akuma so that you don’t catch a free Raging Demon. All of these mistakes being painful or costly.
What you SHOULD be doing is just as important as what you SHOULDN’T be doing.
Kinda like how people need to learn to stop jumping so much.
Edit: Taco Knee (jMK) is doing well. Sopapilla Butt (jHK) is the superior safe jump in move. jHP Should be relegated to crossups only.
Vega uses jHP as a jump-away anti air. I think jLP, jLK, and jMP fill that role.
Once AE drops it’ll be time for testing.
lol but hes looking for run stop pressure vids. not matchup stuff.
and wario man, after over head, buffer super and then if it hits press light kick super. the timing has to be perfect though. you’ll get a little more frame advantage after counter hit though
