At least Abel got nerfed… I was going to rage if his U2 left intact given how Capcom nerfed our U2.

All low tiers seem to be getting a LOT of buffs, so expect most of them to outrank Fuerte in AE. But who cares about ranks anyways lol I just want a more consistent and solid Fuerte, regardless of him being low or mid teir. If all of his normals get improved then we are onto something (jab alone is not enough).

just found out if you do a close crouching medium kick into foward medium kick on a non cornered DeeJay it goes right through him

I’m a big fan of crouching medium kick as a poke since it lowers your hit box a little, hits low and is a great set up for overhead and run stop pressure plus medium kick links off of so many normals I hope they make the links easier, or let him link close standing jab into crouching medium… maybe that would be to much power but it would be awesome…

far medium punch is weird just because the slap has the funniest hit box ever lol,it hits a lot farther then it looks and throws people off

Fuerte gets all jabs buffed I’ll be ok with it. A faster jab means easier combo off f+mk. Which means an easier Surprise/turtle combo, and more reason to use f+mk (throw,block string, super)

He’ll be able to poke out of some things. And all his jabs xx to run. So jab xx back run xx picadillo will be a good escape which will suffice vs everyone but Guy. And maybe some charge characters (ex sonic boom and perhaps headbutt, psycho crusher, and blanka ball will punish.)but that should be enough to allow escape. They do a meaty it’s ultra spark time.

Well. They can make dropkick like it was in vanilla and speed up far fierce and we’re on to something.

there area few characters that you can mess with like that … jab > shower on Dictator blocking ( i think Dee Jay too) = the what charge? loop lol …we cant abuse though cause then next they will nerf shower kick lol … sooooo if you read this Capcom … my post is a joke! :slight_smile:

Bison doesn’t have an uppercut or uppercut variant like other charge characters so corpse hopping his ass is marvelously efficient. If they’re back dash happy run xx gordita can be done after corpse hop. They wanna jump just taco knee. They get teleport happy just remember who has the life lead :wink:

What we need is a sure fire psycho crusher beater in air. I get him out of it here and there. It’d be easier to run from him if we could use that damn wall jump more.

Ex psycho crusher has hit immunity on start up. But I believe I fajita buster’d bison out of it. I caught him when he winds up (you clearly see him grab his wrist before going into pc. Too strict for my liking.

Depending on one of two correct timings dropkick’ll go right through him or kick him right out of it.

If quesadilla wasn’t so terrible it’d be good here. As it beats psycho crusher. And beats scissors on it’s first hit (bison is considered on the ground for first hit which is why it is fadc-able only on first hit.)

I believe after a counter hit on crouching bison with shower kick you still teleport behind him.

I’m want to confirm this. After slide knockdown. You corpse hop, you walk back a touch and dropkick. The timing should be just right.

vs bison you can do any normal that can be cancelled, run, stop, overhead and you go to the other side.

The more we discuss this, it really does seem that our most effective strategy for offense besides the traditional Mexican buffet for mixups is run stop pressure.

I’ve been working on it lately (decided to do it now instead of wait for that monitor) and it surprises how much meter you get from doing run stop pressure, at least with blocked Fierces.

3 blocked fierces = 1 bar or something. Or was it 3 hits? I don’t remember but you get a lot from blocked things. I noticed in one of the videos with Yun, he gains a bar from doing one of his target combos but I can’t remember which one it was.

Lol thats what I been telling you guys for a while. it builds good meter. than you build super meter and it can become a 50/50 on wake up if you do overhead or cr.mk run stop cr.mk into super.

lol I’ve really been doing it wrong. If I can’t get damage in, I can at least build meter.

I noticed that it’s a lot easier to do block pressure with cl.MP than with other attacks.

Cl mp is pretty fast.

I’m sloppy on run stop. So I usually just back run picadillo. I’m starting to wonder what fuerte’s hit box is when he picadillo’s or a bid showing differences between it and normal jump. It’s a damn well sure-fire get away.

fuerte has good pressure game, just try to learn it. if they notice your not agressive, then theyll feel comfortable when your up close.

Imagine how more varied Fuerte’s run game is if target combo far s.mk -> s.mk, far s.FP, and cl s.mk can be cancelled to a run.

Of course, other than that buffing the hitbox on tortilla and bringing dropkick back to how it was in vanilla are necessary changes.

A great bonus will be completely changing q-bomb:
q-bomb lvl 1: 2 sec charge, 80 dmg, recovery on block completely punishable by lots of things (think of Ryu’s jab SRK recovery on block)

q-bomb lvl 2: 5 sec charge, 100 dmg, recovery on block about -9 or -10 frames (still punishable but harder)

q-bomb lvl 3: 8 sec charge, 120 dmg, recovery on block -5 frames (very hard to punish)

ex-qbomb: 8 sec charge, 150 dmg, recovery on block -2 frames (unpunishable)

I know… wishful thinking considering that Capcom seems more intent to push Fuerte into crap character status rather than making him a strong and yet still interesting character to play.

Considering the length of time to charge it I wouldn’t mind if the damn thing was safer on high level charge. Turtling would be a a lot easier and there’d be chip damage to do. But it would be too good if level three or any of them were super safe. The “quesadilla rainbow” would go into effect.

As it is now it’s a terrible sumo headbutt which excellent priority over standing attacks.

I think the best change for quesadilla bomb would be lowered startup proportionate to charge, increased stun, and frames on hit to be improved. On block frames should get a tweak too, -17 is indeed retarded but it shouldn’t be headbutt safe. Perhaps on block the pushback on an opponent can also be increased dependant on level.

Better yet. Give ex qbomb one hit hyper armor and better priority. That oughta scare projectile users.

There’s no reason to use as a combo since run slide does more stun and comparable damage sans for counterhit ex bomb. There are a few normals that cancel to qbomb but none combo to it except close fierce. Reducing startup speed enough to combo with those other normals will make the thing more useful.

guard crush is on tonight, catch it. its like the best stream on the East coast. alot of high level matches, and maybe I’ll go far this time =)
