It actually plays really similar to MvC2 then CVS1. A three person team has 2 assists available to them, and the DHC order change is the same as MvC2 instead of MvC3. Less characters means less assist available to the player but the characters will have more health and damage output.

The game will most likely sell well enough to have continuing support from the developers, but probably won’t reach a mainstream audience. This is partly do the game design but also heavily on the aesthetics. It basically shot itself in the foot with the aesthetic choices, as it targets a subsection of a niche audience to an already niche genre.

Game mechanics wise the game looks amazing and is probably what a lot of people wanted MvC3 to be. It actually brought out a lot of the retired MvC2 players, such as Eddie Lee and Duc Do.

Yeah honestly if the game looked like say guilty gear or an anime game I probably woulda liked it more. I dont know why the art/characters just looks like it’s from those old trippy Popeye cartoons or something.

Even if you aren’t a anime loving troll, it’s something that the community as a whole should embrace with financial support if you can afford it. If you can’t then you shouldn’t try and alienate everyone who thinks it’s a cool idea. Bad form Dean.

this game is extremely important for our community. if the gameplay itself turns out great (coupled with the amazing set of features outside gameplay), this means we have a real developer originating from our ranks that knows EXACTLY what the community wants! a developer that is hungry and enthusiastic to prove itself and not a greedy blasé company that thinks it can get away with anything! therefore i will support MikeZ and his crew in hope that he will do more fighting games. i would like to…
