what’s with the bold? your posts read like an Archie comic
So, I watched the Last Samurai again (No weeaboo). Anyone think the emperor kinda looks like Daigo?
So my stick was busted, wasn’t registering Down. I opened it up, rechecked connections, opened up the microswitch and checked it out. Couldn’t see a problem so ordered in a new part.
So over the holidays been in withdrawal and decided to use it anyway but just in Arcade mode, playing Akuma or some crap. Was fun. So for tonight I thought I’d try trolling psn, see if my Down-disabled (pun intended) Akuma could get a win. Second fight in, down works and it’s been golden all night long. Seems to have worked itself out after I checked out everything on the TE.
Grr.
rotate it so back doesn’t work. fuck blocking, shit is cheap
How do you suppose he does that when “back” can be one of two directions?
I think he should disable Up. In fact, we should all disable Up. It would make us all better players.
TE sticks are a beautiful thing. i think im gonna switch back to my original sanwa buttons

Oh Geez LOL
LOL that is some sound advise. But the easier thing to do is just pick top tier!
…he should just remove his stick and just use buttons. you will always play either juri or hakan through arcade request.
I had my stock te do the same this but it was forward. I’ve had the same thing happen before so i thought it was just a simple unplug and plug back in fix, but that didn’t work this time. I replaced the joystick and now I’m curious if it’s truely pooched…
Subbing to bad thread.
Anyone ever have a button just stop completely working? Then you have to do the old unplug - plug it back it back in for it start working again.
How did you replace the joystick? You just ordered a new Sanwa JLF?
Lizardlick sells the microswitches so you can just simply replace them. I’ve never actually done it before though. I think it requires some soldering.
i got sol but im not a solder
I had a couple spare so I just slapped one in. I don’t think it’s a solder job tho. I wanted the fresh spring too so I just swapped the whole jlf outtie.
I believe that only occurs on the Xbox since I’ve never heard or ran into the issue on the PS3. I haven’t had that issue with my sticks and xbox at home but I’ve ran into the issue during casuals and at tournaments.
that happens to my roundhouse button all the time. how i fix this??
Yeah I’m really curious to see if this miraculous recovery is going to be long term or not. I got a deal on this stick from ebay, but it was obviously sitting around for a while and still had traces of dust on the box, so I have no idea how it was stored (seemed to have dust on all sides, that or the fucker was outright buried for storage) but all internal parts are mint and perfect. Soon I’ll have the microswitch piece thingy in the mail so I can swap out to it if necessary, but I can’t help but wonder if it happens again maybe its the actual PCB that’s an issue, which would annoy me greatly. I don’t know anything about electronics, but I did open up each microswitch and I couldn’t tell a single difference between the working ones and the faulty one, so who knows.
Mine’s ps3, but a stick issue. I’m leaning towards the one real part that Mad Catz actually built (the PCB) being the fault here, but hey, time will tell for my stick at least.
EDIT: Also, are the wednesday night fights officially on this week? I’d like to hit it up and put some faces to names and accept my bodying like a wimpy girl sooner than later
I believe casuals this Wednesday at BP’s is a go but Raiden will have to confirm that since he brings the majority (if not all) of his setups.
Anybody, have a Xbox 360 HDD transfer cable I could borrow? My XBox can’t read some of my games anymore and I don’t have warranty with it so I’m just going to buy a new one tomorrow. Would I be able to just take the harddrive off from my old one and put it on the new one temporarily? I’m not sure if there would be any firmware compatibility issues.
