Yes, he can. Without slow or assists. I haven’t gotten it to be useful in longer combos be I know at a certain distance you can use the Hard version of the Spirit of Vengeance to get a wall bounce which also causes a hard knockdown. The problem with this is that he needs to be either full/half screen in order to do this and the opponent needs to be higher than rider on the bike. It also needs to be cancelled early so you probably wont get any hits from the bike itself.

I’ve found that the Zak Bennett Firebrand extension with Dormammu works with Ghost rider! Able to push 1.2M+ damage off of 3 meters! My apologies if this has already been demonstrated. I’m not sure how much it gains but I’m betting it’s more than 1 meter since my normal bnb generates 1 meter.

Goes something like this:
Dark Hole = :a1: Hidden Missiles = :a2:

:h:, :h:, :dp::l:, :h:+:a2:, :h:, :qcb::h:, (missiles OTG), :h:, :h:, :qcb::h:, dash+:a1:, :qcf::l: (otg), :qcb::m:, :qcf::l: (otg), :qcf::atk::atk:

So now you’re mashing hellfire maelstrom in the corner instead of doing Spirit of Vengeance. DHC to Stalking Flare before the last hit so the opponent is at the highest point possible.

DHC :qcb::atk::atk:, (wait for him to say the first “RUN” then quickly), :qcb::l:, :qcb::m:, :qcb::h:, :df::h:+:a1:, :f::h:, :qcf::l:, :qcf::atk::atk:

Tips and Tricks:
-You want to be as far into the corner as possible when doing the OTG hellfire->hellfire maelstrom to get the most hits and most height for the DHC stalking flare.
-If you need more distance you can dash up and launch them after the missiles otg and just air string :m:,:s: to put them and you in the corner.
-Practice the timing of loading the dark spells and bringing down the meteors. It’s tight. Then just mash assist and Flame Carpet so they bounce off the flame carpet into Ghost Rider’s chain and then your Dark Matter, Dark Hole, Chaotic Flame.

Hey guys, nothing particularly new here, but just thought I’d show you some stuff with my GR team. I use Thor here, but you could do these exact combos with Dormammu as well, or even Nova for that matter for more damage. (For example, if you do maelstrom mid screen the last hit bounces them and catch them with chaotic flame for an easy 900k+ damage.

It’s just a compilation of stuff I’ve pulled from what you guys and improvisations with Thor, but had some free time so slapped some clips together. Two snapback xfactor (lvl1) clips at the end as well

Cool combos my dude, but the thing is, that team is not optimal for GR. You need to have solid NEUTRAL assists to make him somewhat midtier. Good vid

Any team with GR is not optimal. But isn’t missiles essentially the best neutral assist there is? GR/x/missiles is about as good as it’s gonna get.

Dunno if any enterprising individuals have already found this, but now I present before you: “The GhoStrider Special”
-End any combo with a :qcb: :l:
-Call Vajra, b.:h:
-Now we get into the reset:
-If Vajra hits, Ghost Rider doesn’t get too much out of it. However, you will probably have at least one bar, so you can just dash in xx b.:h:, snap
-If Vajra is blocked, you get a pretty dirty chance to mix up the opponent because the blockstun ends once they hit the ground
-If you want to play it safe, you can just fish for button mashing with :h::h:, cr.:h:, or j.:s:
-If you want to take risks, you can add another layer to the mix by dashing in, to change your options to cr.:l:, b.:h:OS, or a level 3 if you feel that the opponent is going to eat it

I feel that this is a step in the right direction for Ghost Rider’s tactics. He can’t output very much damage per combo, so he greatly benefits from resets to offset this issue. If anyone has Repulsar Blast on their team, you can play around with that too.

When going for this in a match, you should probably call an assist to put them in blockstun as they recover. That way, asshole characters like Magneto and Nova can’t just air dash away.

Works with: Missiles, Mystic Ray, Daggers of Denak, Repulsar Blast, and Vajra. You could also combo into Spencer’s Slant Shot assist, then do the throw right after the hitstun ends.

Okay guys, I found an interesting extension with Haggar’s Lariat assist after a :qcb: :l: . After the cinematic, call the assist, dash backwards, then use Heartless Spire. So far I have something like:

Not sure if the tac combo would would with huge scaling. Trish is the best I could do.

With the quarter circle super ender, does about 650k. If you guys have any tricks to optimize this past 700k without another assist or burning another bar, please tell me so I can help push GR to doing solid damage.

EDIT: Not only does this work after a :qcb::h:, but it also works after a grounded back throw midscreen! I’ve got it to work with Plasma Beam, Unibeam, Hawkeye assist, and Magneto’s Beam. You can also use Shopping Cart, but it is a bit spacing and timing sensitive. For the faster assists (Hawkeye and Magneto), you call the assist immediately before you b.:h:, but with slower assists like Doom or Iron Man, you can call them either before you wavedash or during the first dash.

Are there any GR combos ending with the bike super that do 50 or more hits? I think GR/Frank could be a thing, but I don’t have any really long combos with GR.

If you DHC to your 2nd character then you will get over 1 million as shown.

what i do is after the bike press M then dhc into frank and call an assist (i use super skrulls tenderizer) and do 2 cameras. a standard length GR combo ending with that should be fine.

Ghost rider combo- 1 million damage, 1 meter gain, starts at 1 meter, dhc, and raw tag. My opinion, vajra sucks with ghost rider.

Rule of thumb: dont make a team with 2 low tier characters. Even if they have “synergy” its not recommended.
