in fact i know that marn and joe can hold down that spot. thats what i have been saying all this time about doing a round robin so it can prove to all the doubters. 1 game 3 of 5 matches. that way ds, jav, and nestor can get the fair shot with their character. keep in mind this also gives the team an advantage by showing that they can kill every other char. martin will fight a balrog, and joe will fight againts another sagat so having just a normal pre qual tourney excuding those characters really dont help out the team

Uhh just a huge pain in the ass to go out of town…like I still go to school. So it’s like, “ok, im gonna go to new jersey, rent a hotel room, etc just to play video games all weekend.” No fuckin way my parents will agree

Before I register I just got a couple questions… they were already asked but not really answered.
Never been to a tourney and I don’t have a PS3. So how are people at tourneys with letting players borrow their sticks? Also, I still don’t get why you can’t have both consoles running or why that would be a problem.
will there be a BYOC area here too (if yes, they should be labeled so no one comes outta no where and takes a TV when a match needs to be held)

You won’t have a problem using someone’s stick. I have a PS3 stick that I won’t be using, along with an HRAP2 and a MAS stick that anyone can use. The reason why we’re having these games on PlayStation 3 only is because of stick availability. 95% of us have PlayStation 2 sticks. We can then just use a converter to use that stick on PlayStation 3’s. If you have a 360 stick, sorry, but we can’t convert those.
The are other reasons, such as the EVO standard which basically everyone follows at these types of tournaments. There’s also the strong chance of having 2 players versing each other, where one player plays with a 360 stick, and the other plays with a PS3 stick. What do we do then? If we restrict the platform, we eliminate that problem basically altogether.
There is plenty of space in the room. It’s actually two rooms that are divided by a wall that breaks away, combining the two rooms into one. Think of it like gym class in high school with the big wall that comes out of the main wall to divide the gym.

Wow busy night for John and I. A friend of mine is a graphic designer. He has a few clients that are the clothing industry. He is going to make shirts for the event. I already saw a few of the designs… Pretty nice. So ETC will have its own shirt and a flayer in upcoming days
