yeah, “Steve” would be one of the biggest wastes of a roster spot I’ve ever seen…in the entire history of gaming, seriously. When I first heard of him being a rumored character some people want for some silly reason…I actually had to look the bastard up on a quick internet search to find out who that is. It still surprises me that younger generations of gamers actually got past how insanely ugly that game is in the first place. With the Atari and early NES era, I’d say that was different because there simply wasn’t anything else at the time that was that vastly superior in visual appeal. The other option was the arcade games of the time, but it was impossible to have that level of tech at home for the average kid…realistically there was no choice other than Atari systems, then NES or Master System.
No, We don’t need anyone from Arms playable.
Also if they are already a trophy, they aren’t becoming a playable character.

Yes we do. Arms is a new Nintendo ip that debuted on the Switch and should be repped. Also, Spring Man isn’t the only character from the series. The other characters can easily make the jump like Ribbon Girl.

You’ll be surprised at the games the younger generation are into. Roblox is huge and it’s a game my nephew plays regularly. You look at it and wonder why. The default character models look like Lego figure knock off and the game has no functional mechanics. It feels like the whole game is in pre-alpha state. Kids love that shit and can’t figure it out.

Ubisoft says they avoid messages in their games and its a way of making them more mature
I know there are some out there that ‘don’t want politics’ in their games but its nigh impossible to make something artistic wise without the possibility of someone interpreting a message out of it. Your games have to be super abstract for the bare number of people to not get a message out of it and games like Division are not abstract enough.
This doesn’t make any sense. Nintendo has used Smash to debut things ahead of time. Like having Fire Emblem characters in Melee ahead of it’s US debut, Smash 4 having a stage based on Yoshi’s Wolly World, etc. Arms being “too new” don’t cut it.

Id argue that if your art doeant say anything at all, has no message what so ever then its probably not a very mature work. Its still immature because its afraid of saying something, anything of merit. Even stupid silly dumb shit like Devil May Cry has a message about the value of family.
