Yea, that is definitely plausible. Would be interesting to see how the story would have unfolded as a result. Getting to see Shin fight Juda or Rei?!? That would be epic. I really liked the psychic colonel. For a character that has no inhuman fighting abilities he was ingenious and gave Ken a good fight.
What I want to know is why hasn’t there been any animes containing such an epic story arc with dozens of awesome characters that can span 80 hours of episodes. It’s been 25+ years since its release and no one has caught up.

ASW’s HnK fighting game is probably the best HnK fanservice game anyone could really ask for. They pretty much thought of everything for that game, even to the very minor stuff like Jagi getting guard broken if he blocks low too much because the statue bust he has will break.
That can’t be right. I heard Kenji Utsumi voice over Q-feuille in Kiddy Girl-and. The scene was pretty epic with his famous HnK qoute.

A prime example of why the show is such a man’s anime. Even though she was in direct lineage to be one of the Nanto Rokusei, they still did not bother to teach her shit. And she bit Shin’s lip actually when he went to kiss her…
Edit: And before anyone pipes up about Mamiya, she is a joke. May be able to handle some of the average wasteland scum, but only in SMALL numbers. Anything more than that and she is dependent on Ken & Rei to save her just like the other women.

Toki was capable of using the same “explode their head style” as the other brothers but used a more graceful and empathetic style and it was the most powerful. There are strong female roles in it, it’s just a rarety. Not that it matters to me either way.
LOL, I think people need to remember this came out in the mid 80’s. Media was saturated with chauvinistic aspects, this didn’t really have any more of that than other shows.
Toki was a Hokuto master, one of the A-list fighters. Yuria however, knew nothing of fighting technique. She was just there to be kidnapped and saved.
And HNK is the ORIGINAL manliest anime. It is not meant to be chauvinistic, just that the whole thing is strictly from a man’s viewpoint(obstacles, struggles, enduring, etc).
I wonder if HNK has much, if any, female fanbase. There is ZERO there for them to identify with afterall.
