I was (am?) a long time DFO player, and have been playing since 40 cap. I recently came back and to my surprise there were a myraid of new classes, and even the one I was most interested in (Necromancer!)
So I ended up abandaing my Berserker who I got to 48, and worked on my thief, who I recently got to 51.
nice to know that there’ still an active community.
Since the guild member limit is far below what I need, I’m currently managing 3 guilds:
SRK is the regular SRK guild.
SRKPvP is an SRK guild for PvP that only accepts active PvP players who are at least glad 1 and pass a test by officers.
ElderGOD is a guild that only reviews requests from members from the SRK guild and are level 65 and higher and at least senior member rank.
Decided to give this game another go after seeing the trailers for f.slayers. Getting a headache trying to read about all the stuff I’ve missed out on. Sent in a guild request, hopefully you guys have some room.
I’ll probably be looking to join the pvp guild of SRK once I start whipping myself back into shape. I’m hoping since DnF League is returning with the release of F. Slayers that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, the pvp community will rekindle stateside or possibly force more hands into a possible DFO League counter part(maybe). Game deserves competitive status, IMO(it’s not completely balanced, but not unplayable either). Just needs the right push, and adjustments to make it float.
Hi, just here to confirm I have created and account, and participating in this forum and am in your Guild. My In-Game Name is Firundra. I’m in the main SRK Guild.
Elder, I’m sure you have your reasons but I highly suggest that the original SRK guild is left for veterans, and a newer guild called SRK2 or Shoryuken.com (something in that nature) is left for new trainees that can level up the guild and gain tokens from it. Better incentives in that approach rather than a new guild with just OV players who only OV on certain days. I rather put SRK back to private again.
The new guild is the same as private SRK. The difference is paying to level, but I’m paying and you guys will get free tokens. I lifted the 65+ level rule and any senior member can join. It’s getting more active as more people move over. We have like 50 senior vs like 250 non-senior. It’s simpler to move 50 than 250.
I know what you’re saying. It would be a lot easier for me too if we just kept SRK private, but what I’m doing now is best for everyone. If you want to discuss further I’ll be online this Thursday midnight EST.
That is understandable. It’s very appreciated that you’ve kept the guild running as long as you have. I’m just here to help out. It’s hard to believe the time and money I spent in this guild… crazy. It’ll be my 3rd year in SRK next month.
I think we should lock registration for SRK at the moment removing senior member status. The only perk with senior anyways is the invitation feature. I caught a couple senior members inviting new people in the past week. I kindly let them know that we’re at full capacity. I had to remove some inactive members according to your rules to let the new people in.
Once my characters are in the new guild, I can start helping out. I still think eventually, we want to leave the vanilla SRK guild in tact as the elite, end game guild, not the training grounds. In the mean time, I think things are fine the way it is.
