Yeah my connection was flawless when I first started this game but ever since I moved 6 months ago, it was erratic. I was able to connect to anyone before but now it’s very random and not consistent. I find that specific servers and channels helps with the connection. I really want to start an OV and Ancient party but the issues causes me to be a little hesitant.
I wonder if certain ISPs are intentionally limiting traffic. Comcast definitely is, but we have no facts concerning other ISPs. There is definitely more to this issue than just port forwarding. I would like to get more info. Everyone PM me info with your ISP, router (include firmware info), and describe your connection. For example, can you play other P2P games fine and is it only DFO that gives you problems? Is it consistent lag or random network errors? When you get a DFO network error, did your actual internet disconnect? We seriously need to get some answers and we all know that Nexon is incapable of accomplishing this task so we need to do it ourselves. I also have experience with Linksys routers having terrible firmware and Linksys customer support being worse than Nexon’s.
IMPORTANT
I just dropped 21 times in a row, couldn’t do a single run. Since in this near future I can’t play, I need people to fill two officer spots. This isn’t just a title, you’re going to have to manage the guild and take care of it. I’m still going to pay for what’s needed, such as guild level, guild skills, events, etc, but I need consistent players to fill other roles. Roles such as recruiting members, helping other members with questions, helping other members with dungeons, etc. I need players that are on often and you must have a basic understanding of how to keep your account secure and change your password at least every three weeks, plus every time Nexon gets hacked, and your password must be composed of at least 14 random characters/numbers/symbols that are unrelated to any password you have previously used anywhere. Also, do not visit non-trusted sites and do not connect to DFO via insecure connections such as public wireless spots, college wireless, etc. Disable wireless and use Ethernet if possible. Also, enter a small part of your password via copy and paste to bypass primitive potential key-loggers. Also, do not use quick party feature and do not party/interact with unknowns, since “hackers” first need to identify an address to attack. If you afk in-game, do it in Seria room.
PM me your application if interested in becoming a guild officer. I’m also thinking about starting to pay officers via NX cards and/or millions of in-game gold. I’m busy this and next week but I will check SRK forums for a second here and there.**

Sorry to hear about all those drops Elder. Nexon definitely needs to step their game up for sure(not just on the usual problems either).
Also, I came in to this thread just say hello, and post up a link for a tournament that’ll be up on this Saturday that is being hosted by DFOLeague. You may or may not know(as I haven’t run through the thread completely), but DFOLeague is hosting it’s first tournament to kick off the sites launch, and intended purposes. The site itself is to help promote a competitive community for the game as well as bring it into the light more in the states(we all know what kind of exposure it has in the east, especially in Korea). This was a very similar goal for both super sword action and DFO planet, but we all know what’s become of both of those sites. In fact, it probably shares more of a connection with other sites like SRK, Dream-cancel, and etc. in regards to aiding the competitive community. If anything, I know SRK members are more then willing to show their support for the things they love and enjoy if not a testimony to what the fighting game community has stood for years(it’s probably the reason many players are drawn to the game despite it’s obvious problems in the NA).
So with that said, show some support for DFOL’s “Rise Of A New Champion”(RONC) coming up this Saturday, Feb. 18th. And Who know’s, maybe within this year we’ll receive fair arena as well and be able to have even more tournament exposure both online, and in-person since Fair arena alone fixes several competitive issues with the game.

Also I hope I’m not posting information that may have already been posted as I haven’t fully checked this thread out(or atleast not in awhile since it’s been a month or two since I’ve last been on the SRK forums). Spread the word about it as well to other sites or groups of players that maybe interested in DFO picking up in the US in terms of competitive gaming.
Edit: Just noticed a talk about a sub-section for DFO here on SRK. I think that would be great, and would aid in DFO getting more positive exposure(game needs as much as it can muster with all the negative feedback it’s received atleast from a US stand point, and in terms of it’s issues)!

Don’t run other applications, don’t click the mouse or press any buttons or change volume while game loads. Try loading through Nexon game list and not DFO site. Try using alt browsers. Maybe restart computer. I don’t know, sleepy.
apparently somehow the compatibility was changed in one of the browser startup applications in the dfo folder…I dunno.
but whatever. it’s loading now.
Really cool. Will you guys archive the footage? I was trying to catch some of this but it was running slow because I had the Winter Brawl Stream up too.
I probably need to redownload this game soon because I just got a new computer so I need to get everything back.
While I’m going to admit that the reason I can’t connect right now is my crappy ISP, but even when I had the almighty FIOS, Nexon servers were still not good enough.
If Nexon really wants anyone to take this game seriously they need to get some good dedicated PvP servers.
The footage will definitely be archived so when it’s over I’ll drop the link to the archives as well(currently in the semi’s right now). I’d say it’s worth the re-download as well. If nexon would put some more work into what it needs fixed it would be much more popular.
I agree. A few dedicated PvP servers would be great for sure. Hopefully fair arena will bring more to that, or if anything we can try to push for some as well. Case in point, competitive exposure will probably really help push that endeavor.
Yea, connectivity is a huge issue, but fair arena would be nice because it would take care of a lot of gear issues and gear restriction arguments. What’s your DFO character name out of curiosity? I think everyone saw mine via the recruit echoes. Trying to fill all 300 spots.
For next event, maybe try to hold a 2 v 2 and see how the connection holds up. Korea style team tournaments would be godlike.
My current character name is Kyokusho which happens to be a level 67 m brawler(You may see me from time to time in practice channel, or ranking in ch.52). I have other characters as well, but I haven’t played them in a good while. I’m pretty sure I remember your ign, and if not with a little searching I’ll probably find it. I also understand about the guild spot filling as it can be pain at times getting members in consistently(albeit active as well).
I’ll be sure to give daytona, and heroic the recommendation about the 2 v 2 tournament. If anything, the last team tournament I can remember was either right before rebirth or at the beginning, (sometime between the first LoA tournament for sure), so I’d say it’s definitely high time for another one.

Also, while I’m thinking about it, next tournament will probably be LoA2 which is march 31st(if I’m correct). That’ll probably be hosted or at least sponsored by DFOLeague.
