- You can only buy standard and advanced avatars; rares are bind cube only.
- You buy them individually, aside from event packages
- They are tradeable, like any avatars
- There are 3 duration options, one of which is permanent
- Not sure about the price, as on the PTS they currently cost 5 NX, which I’m going to guess isn’t the real price.
- Yes, you can drag your characters around into the order you want them. A small convenience, but hey, can’t complain.
Blitz system? Is that the bonus exp after your out of fat? I swear I have a new question everyday with this game lol…
They basically took fatigue out and replaced it with something else. You’re suppose to get more exp the longer you play. You start at level 1 each day and to get past that 1st level you have to use up 200 fp. I haven’t used that much yet, so I don’t know how much of a bonus exp you are suppose to get once you get to level 2.
Basically there is no more restrictions on how long you can play.
Holy shit. At first I though necros were doing well mp wise. I just ran around using dark soul and dark nail while throwing some soul lures with nicholas as backup.
That is, until I used Vallacre the slaughter. What it does is buff up your normals by having a spirit possessing you, sort of like frenzy or tiger flash. It costs 100 to put up, which is fine with my because I maxed tiger flash and this lasts 200 seconds compared to tiger flash’s measly minute in pve. But every freaking action you do costs some mp. If you press the basic combo the knight 18 mp. If you press Z, he does a combo that goes forward and takes 99 mp. His dash attack is a grab that takes 36 mp. Looking at the descriptions I though that okay cool, they have short cool downs too. Problem was that doing this only got me to like the 3rd or 4th room before I decided I might need to pot for mp. (You can still cast other skills alongside Vallacre when he is doing something like the massacre combo).
edit: Hey nerull, what’s your pts character ign? We could try to pvp or something to see how necro is. Mine is MegaWoMan
then obviously i vote for myself
much appreciated. so can you buy every event/holiday/npc avatar that was ever released… like the really old ones?
i vote for akuma’s
Akuma’s Blazing Flower takes the win by one vote with an electrifying finish!

It begins.
Necro vs. Rogue matchup, Necro wins… hilariously.
edit: can’t seem to insert an image without it being screwed up on srk.
edit2: The funny thing is I heard that we got the already balanced versions of thieves.
Monks are getting nerfed in this upcoming update, losing their standing combo cheese and feels like they’re losing range on sidewinder & exquisite combo. Also, distance on manual sacred counter is shorter (as far as I can tell from playing on PTS). I just hit 60 and I plan to play around with skill resets as they only cost 5 NX when we’re given 500k. I haven’t tried any of the active TP skills yet, but they have a passive one that makes the will driver’s “aura” larger, which is kinda cool.
I’ll be busy at NCR this weekend, so a good bulk of my DFO PTS experience is done. One new thing I liked about monks is that Big Bang Punch is faster now, so you also have to hit the button faster too for extra damage.
Did they change up the masteries and is will driver buffed to be more useful (statwise)? I think korea had some changes like these, I was wondering if they were in.
About standing combos, oh well, at least monks have more levels to put into their uppercuts. At least I’ll feel a little less sour about getting stunned and combo since there’s no infinite now. I’ll have to watch out for more uppercuts now then. LEMON CRADLE!!!
edit: We should also pvp in pts to test some changes. I actually do not combo that well on my necro, but my lameness is getting me wins, so I should learn some combos to make it look like I know what I’m doing. We could get some matches going if you wanna test pvp specific stuff.
Akuma, since you won the event, you need to get in contact with me for the free 10k NX. I will be online tomorrow ~9pm EST.
There’s a small chance I might be online around midnight EST tonight as well.
fair enough now which character?
Nah, as far as I know that’s in a much later patch. If Korea just got it, then we probably won’t get it for a bit. Cool to know the code for M. Fighter is in the build right now, though.
The Will Driver buff and re-organized Fist masteries come in around the same time Male Fighters do I believe.
I don’t think Monk got nerfed too bad in the PTS from what I’ve played so far, more or less the same, damage percentage of skills went up as it did for alot of classes, MP efficiency is a little better than before. Shadow Clone damage seems a bit less (In PvP), but you could potentially max it out now with all the extra SP to really buff up the damage. Best of all though is no more of that infinite combo bs in PvP, thank god. Now people can quit bitching.
Hopefully with all the extra SP, I can get the high level Second Uppercut I always wanted, so I can cast Shadow Clone after a launch like the Pre-Priest Patch days. I just got Shadow Clone, and it seems to cast a little faster than before, despite me only having like 23% cspd.
Got a little pvp in today. Asuras look pretty good right now with cspd on their plate armor mastery now. They can absolutely wreck nicholas in no time flat if they want to. I tried to at least get zombies out when nicholas was alive but the asura I was fighting mained asuras and knew what he was doing and basically ghost orb his ass into oblivion whenever he saw him. Nick can also be grabbed, so players might try to buy themselves some i-frames if they try to rush him. I like using the cube moves in Vallacre, even though they are slow, you can sort of tank throw some things and hope you win out. Like I would throw out a guillotine and I usually would tank through stuff and could try to followup with vallacre’s dash grab.
Overall I’ve been having good games, and RunningWild is right in learning matchups is most of the fun in pvp. Necro’s and Rogues don’t seem OP at this point (Since I heard that we basically already have the balanced versions with no goofy stuff). I’m also liking the new rooms to fight in and with the new stat scaling, we now have some more hp and mp to play around with.
I was PvP’ing for a bit, mostly to stress test the new standing combo limits. It’s really dependent on how much life/defense your opponent has, obviously on low level opponents, they drop very quickly, often with just 1 skill. If you do over 1/4 of a life bar with a standing combo, they’ll drop. Hell just landing a stand alone Exquisite is enough to drop most of the weaker classes. Heavenly Combo’s 3rd hit also appears to knockdown/blow away now instead of leaving the opponent standing.
So yeah, learn to juggle Monk players. Keep those standing combo’s compact and short as possible. That goes for Striker players too.
Thank god Thieves weren’t around before… they have so much hitstun on alot of skills that leave you standing, they would of been insane.
