I lagged and then crashed. Did I log back in after that? I don’t remember what I did at 4am 
(remember that I’m EST). My legit rage quit was when I quit Vilmark within 3 seconds before a monster even came on the screen. I don’t deny it.

- Tell everyone to stop getting hit (especially when they play melee and you have ranged character).

Hi. Been out of the loop. Got a few questions:
1)When is the next major update? Or had there already been one recently?
2)Has the netcode improved at all in the last 6 or so months?
3)Is there still a risk of Kiri breaking your weapons?
4)Are the prices still pretty much the same for things like Life Tokens, Remy Touches, etc? What’s the best way to afford/buy them
5)Are there still a lot of people playing the game?

Depends on your definitions of “major” and “recently”. There hasn’t been anything really paradigm shifting, e.g. 60 cap, female gunners, and priest patch, since last year. Since then, all classes have gotten awakenings, some dungeon levels got moved around, Ghent dungeons got added for level 55+, Screaming Cave got added as the third ancient dungeon, terranite and chronicle gear quests were added, Hell Mode was revamped, and there is the endless slew of new avatars (mostly reskins of old ones), pets, and pointless “events”. Tomorrow’s maintenance is supposed to add the Noire Ferra ancient dungeon, as well as some new equipment and avatars. The next “major update” will likely be the release of the thief classes, but when that will be is anyone’s guess. We have a long way to go still to catch up with Korea.

Every update they seem to change something with the netcode; sometimes it gets better, sometimes worse. By and large it’s still pretty shit though, regardless.

They did lower the NX cost for some of those things, such as Lethe Water (SP reset) 20000->17800 (still stupidly expensive). If you want life tokens and potions, the best thing to do really is buy skeleton keys and open lost treasures, and have a chance at pet eggs, and/or buy the packages they always offer during holiday event sales.

Ebbs and flows like everything, but it’s seldom a problem finding parties for things, at least not during standard hours.

Another question…out of curiosity, are there any other 2D action/arcade/rpg MMO’s similar to Dungeon Fighter? Or is DFO pretty much the only one in its class that is pure 2D Beat-'em Up?

Decided to give the game a try. Looks pretty fun. Going to try the Priest.
I just tried this game out the other day and I thought it was pretty dope. Its kind of overwhelming with all the menus and stats and shit but the beat-shit-up portion is great. I just couldnt handle playing with the keyboard and mouse so I switched to pad and mouse.
Anyhow, any tips for a newb like me that can help me level up faster or just general tips on gameplay and strategy?

Seeing as how we can’t clean cursed items and can’t break them yet, and pretty much no one will be able to afford to upgrade them, don’t bother getting them.

I think maybe around 40 you should start looking into buying your own stuff. Up until then, you get equipment from quests.
