pretty sure BM is the best for pvp
BMs are the best among the mage subclasses for PvP. Elementalists are god tier at zoning, but that’s all they really do. Summoners are bottom tier in PvP in general. Witches are pretty good too; they’re kind of like a hybrid of BMs and Elementalists (they have strong melee combos but also have decent zoning tools).
Currently, from my experience and in this stage/version of the game (level cap, lack of AS items/horrible avatar customization compared to JP/KR ver of the game), the BM’s only bad match ups are against classes with really strong, fast y-axis attacks such as Asuras and Sword Masters. Everyone else they’re even with or have an advantage.
Battlemage is rediculous in PvP right now, supposedly she gets a nerf in a later patch, but for now.
Summoner in PvP is terrible, right at your class upgrade you can get away with it, but unless you are playing team deathmatch you aren’t gonna get much done.
Elementalist can be really good or really bad in PvP, depending on what spells you buff. I think it’s supposed to be like fire and dark are good for PvP, ice and light aren’t so much.
I once saw a BM with Shururu Doll (in a dungeon) and I frowned. I also saw a BM in PvP with shadow chasers and I frowned.
So pve, Summoner and pvp BM? I hate leveling a class only for it to get nerfed into the ground.
/me wants gunner nerfs. 
Hate fighting those low lvl pvp…Not sure if it gets any better or not.
gunners actually don’t ever get any major nerfs from what I understand. If anything, they are only going to be worse because apparently female gunners are exclusively better.
Edit: Also, the BM nerfs aren’t supposed to be so bad that BM becomes terrible, just enough so that melee classes actually stand a chance.

I wish summoner didnt suck in pvp, it seems like that should dominate with all the beast you can have running around. Elemental i can see not really being bad or good.
Awww cmon, shadow chasers aren’t that bad. Third normal attack into stabwheel has sneaky good Y-range, and when you add shadow chaser (at level 1 of course, that’s all), it becomes another viable combo/oki starter.
Also, I’m down for some BM mirror match. :looney::looney:
Female gunners apparently have longer legs or something, so Windmill is even better for them :annoy:
Also yeah, the BM “nerfs” if any, aren’t very noticeable from what I understand. We should be concerned about the Exo/monk buffs, because those bastards are already tough in PvP (I don’t care about what any Exo/monk tells you about they suck right now, blabhalh), and they only get better. Lvl 35+ Exorcists are an absolute pain.
Summoner in PvE is two steps:
- Hit hotkeys
- Read a book, watch TV, eat a sandwich, etc because you don’t have to do anything. That’s how good they are.
As for PvP against gunners, it gets better for other classes, don’t worry. Once you have your tools, gunners don’t look nearly as invincible as they were before you hit lvl 30.
You’d think that, but almost every class has good crowd control at high level, and summoners don’t exactly get much health. Against some classes, all those extra bodies actually turn into a liability due to how the class skills work (grappler would be happy to throw your summons at you)

quick question: i realize the dark necklace(lvl17) is a no trade reward item for clearing one of the episode quests but is there any other way to get one? has anybody stumbled upon an extra one…perhaps as a drop item? if so where/how, is it even possible to get another? i’m looking for two more hopefully somebody can help.

You should just crack open pots after you’re done with a dungeon. There’s very little reason to hold on to them since the chances of getting anything good out of them (even purple or green) are really, REALLY low. If you get a white item from it, just vendor it for gold. If you get a blue item from it, go melt it at the guy who disassembles items.
Yo, I got an prayer exorcist shoulder for the priests if you want it. I also have a purple lvl 20 totem that gives +2 smasher. and a purple scythe. If anyone wants one, I’ll keep the other and try to roll a monk later to see how it is.

That should be a Breeze Totem right?. If you have the patience you can auction it off on the Nexon forums or message in game and get at least 100k.
A cheaper (free) alternative is to just create a mule. I have one who consequentially servers as my salesman as well. His name is iHoldstuff.
Makes everything very easy, as your mule can act as a hub for equipment amongst all your characters.
